This is a real hidden gem with a millennia-long history dating back to 1560! Perhaps thanks to social media encouraging people to share their experiences, I've achieved a prime position on the MK pub scene. I loved it! This is the kind of place I'd be proud to share with my out-of-towners. Today was the first time being here of many in the future, not just for a drink and a snack, but to have a good time and be served by the friendly staff. Thank you all!

One of the Best pubs I've ever been too wow !! Starting with the pub it's self. Beautifuly maintained with that gorgeous thatched roof. Incredible pub garden and a great decor inside. Love how cosy and nice the bar area is makes you feel right at home. Service was brilliant. Server knew the menu of by heart and welcomed us with a smile. Love the little touches like bringing us extra napkins and cutlery on a fresh plate after are starters and always letting know the progress of our food. The food was absolutely brilliant. I had the scotch egg with a curry sauce and the beef wellington. And my partner had the dumplings and the lemon pasta. Both was just perfect and it shows that real time and effort was put into the menu and cooking it. Drink selection is also good with great beers on tap even from the local brewery the brew point which is just great. The only thing that I would say is there is not alot of cocktails which is fully understandable as this is a pub and not a bar. Overall blown away by our experience and we look forward to try the other sister pubs around MK !

So glad that Google led me to this place...a lovely former church turned restaurant. The positive vibe is strong. People are happy here... They're celebrating, socializing, eating great food and having fabulous cocktails. While the pork belly appetizer wasn't terrific, the Beef Wellington was the opposite. Delicious, perfectly cooked, served with a fabulous scalloped potato & asparagus. The Biscoff Cheesecake was delicious and very sweet. I came alone, I hope to return some time with friends

Didn't get a welcoming service here. As the booking system is full, in the call, they suggest we could try to walk in. We walk in about 12 noon, the service is not welcoming but anyway we got to sit in the garden. No one serves us, so we get the menu from the restaurant. They only give us one but we are 6 people and they said there is a menu on the table. Later, we went to the bar side to get an extra menu. Sunday roast gluten free suppose to be alternative as mentioned on the menu. But they just come without Yorkshire pudding and didn't see any extra veg or else. Mussels taste good, but for 12 pounds starter sizes, they are slightly high prices. The Kids menu with the steak well done is too chewey. Service in the restaurant was also quite grumpy when we ordered food. They said booking is full, but we can still see 5-6 table empty in the restaurant near the garden side between the time we are having our food and leave.
