Orchid Cafe

When Main Street Diner closed, we discovered this gem, and now it is the only place we go for breakfast: we go once or twice a week. The food is hot, affordable, delicious, and cooked fast. The service is impeccable, everyone is good, but to be honest, the waitress "Wendy" is amazing. Wendy is who keeps us coming back- She works so hard, you can tell she loves what she does, she is so personable and friendly... If Wendy left to a new restaurant, my husband and I would go with her. Food quality is important, but lots of places have good food-- the workers are the heart of service-- Great job to everyone at Riverwalk, from the greeter to the cook 🍳 👏 we see you and we appreciate you so much!!

Had a fantastic breakfast! It was super busy, but we did not have to wait too long for our food (and no wait for a table). The poor waitresses were running around like crazy, but the food was hot, accurate, and amazing.

We visit Hastings to visit our family living in the area and have been there twice to eat, food was good both times and we planned to eat there again on our latest visit but as we were being seated at our table we were sent back out to wait because our son who was meeting us there hadn't arrived yet and their policy was rudely expressed to us at the table they were going to seat us at that we couldn't be seated until our whole party was there. I could understand if we had a party of 10 and half of them weren't there but it was a party of 4 and one of us wasn't there and he arrived less than 5 minutes from when we got there. One of our party was an elderly person who again wasn't allowed to sit at a table to wait for her grandson. So we won't be back on our next trip to Hastings.
