I hired Mark for excavation, backfilling, and some concrete work. I paid a 50% deposit up front, but from that point on he became almost impossible to reach. He ignored calls and messages, and I had to rely on another contractor—who happened to know him—just to get him to show up and start the excavation. After that, he disappeared again. For nearly a month he kept playing the “next week” game when it came to disposing of the excavated soil. Neither I nor the environmental company could get any response from him. Eventually I got fed up and hired another contractor to finish the job — they were professional, reliable, and communicative, everything he wasn’t. On top of that, Mark damaged our roof with his excavator during the work. He claimed he’d have someone fix it, but never followed up and just left it broken. There is still money owed to us for incomplete work and for additional costs we incurred due to his delays and lack of communication. If you’re considering hiring Mark, don’t. The poor communication, unreliable scheduling, and lack of professionalism caused nothing but stress and unnecessary expenses.

We hired this company to do 800 sq ft of concrete pad and walkway at the side of our house. Mark and Cameron met with us to discuss our project. They were very professional, knowledgeable, listened to what we wanted and gave us a detailed quote. From site preparation, to pouring and finishing the concrete, they did an excellent job. All the staff were friendly and professional. They respected our property and cleaned up well. They exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely hire them again.

Mark and his crew installed an engineered slab-on-grade foundation with in-floor hydronic heating for us. Overall, we were satisfied with the quality of the work. Mark’s itemized estimates were detailed, thorough and clear. He used his experience and knowledge to solve the challenges posed by our site conditions. In general, Mark was a good communicator. He was on-site frequently to answer questions. His foreman, Brent, was on-site daily and was very approachable, friendly and an excellent communicator. It was unfortunate that towards the end of the job Mark’s communication and involvement, up until then excellent, dropped off noticeably for reasons not related to our job. In the end, what started strongly finished up somewhat less so.
