Ottawa-Carleton Mortgage was recommended to me by a co-worker. I decided to give them a call. I did not have the name of a particular broker so when I called I was put in touch with Chris Faubert. That was a stroke of luck because he was excellent. I’m very pleased with the service I received from him. He called several times to explain what was needed at each step of the process. He gave good direction as to how the mortgage would work and then followed up with emails. He was always available through phone or email when I tried to contact him. He was very attentive and even emailed me to see how everything went with the move after I was in my new house. I was moving and spending all of my spare time packing. It was great having Chris overseeing the mortgage as it took the pressure off knowing he was ensuring my important documentation was all in order. Chris was very easy to deal with, and was very methodical in his approach to finding the best mortgage solution for both my and my wife’s needs. We were considering a myriad of options and it was refreshing to have the two way discussions we had notwithstanding he was the expert. Dan (his father and colleague) even joined us for some discussions, bringing in a third party to bring perspective regarding some of the more exclusive approaches that we qualified for.
