Customer experiences
The Pocket Pub is quickly gaining a reputation for its indulgent mac and cheese, and it’s a must-try for comfort food lovers. This dish takes a classic favorite and elevates it with creamy, rich cheese that melts in your mouth, perfectly complemented by al dente pasta. What sets The Pocket Pub apart is its creative twists on the traditional recipe. Whether it’s topped with crispy bacon, fresh herbs, or even a spicy kick, there’s an option to satisfy every palate. The portion sizes are generous, making it perfect for sharing—or not! The cozy, laid-back vibe of the pub adds to the experience, making it a great spot to unwind with friends while enjoying this delicious dish. Pair it with one of their craft beers, and you've got the ultimate comfort food experience. Overall, The Pocket Pub is a top destination for anyone craving a satisfying mac and cheese that’s anything but ordinary!
Yes, just go. Pizza was delicious. Got the bacon pizza. Full of flavor and not too greasy. Drinks were well poured and the atmosphere was good.
The Pocket Pub is a fantastic, small, comfy, little restaurant and bar. The food is amazing. They use fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Seasonal salads, seasonal toppings on their pizzas, which are the best around. A nice selection of food on the menu, from kids to vegetarians and meat lovers. Comfortable seating, spacious with a covered outdoor patio. A good beer selection and a fully stocked bar and bar seating. The wait staff were friendly, and the food came out quickly, even being quite busy. This place is great and we will be back. Cheers.
WOW! What a surprise! Walking by, it doesn’t look like much; but, it over performs across the board. The cocktails were fantastic - I had the Little Black Dress and wanted to have ten more. And the wine? A small selection; yet, each one we tried was wonderful. I’ve had much poorer wines at higher priced restaurants with more robust (as in giant) wine lists. Oh, right, we went there to eat. Well, there were four of us and we had the Seasonal Starter, House-Made Focaccia, Fennel Roasted Organic Carrots, and a sausage pizza. All were outstanding and even I, the avowed anti-vegetable person, fell in love with the carrots. The pizza had a perfectly crispy crust that held up to the delicious toppings. There are many nice places to dine in Portland; but, on my subsequent visits, I will definitely grab a picnic table outside, load it with great food and drink, and totally enjoy this dining experience tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. And the staff? Personable, funny, and wonderful in all regards.
Paddy's is a irish pub.
