Customer experiences
Sean was our project manager. He did an outstanding job. He kept us well-informed on progress with constant communication. He always answered all our questions and made sure the jobs met his high standards. We had all our floors replaced with luxury vinyl plank and both bathrooms redone.
We had an excellent experience with Palm Construction for our porch extension. John was professional, attentive, and kept us informed from start to finish. The quality of work and service exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend Palm Construction for their outstanding craftsmanship and reliability!
Summary: Stay far away from Palm Construction. The project was a disaster from start to finish — poor workmanship, broken irrigation, missed deadlines, and zero accountability. They even tried to buy our silence after we left a negative review. Now they’re ignoring warranty requests. This company cannot be trusted. Details: Our experience with Palm Construction has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I don’t make this statement lightly: the company has shown a lack of integrity, and in our case, they were dishonest in an effort to protect their bottom line. We hired Palm Construction in May to build a front and back path using flagstone. We worked with Nate, the project manager, and shared specific expectations, including reference photos from his past projects. The job was originally estimated to take one week, but it dragged on for a month. From the start, there were serious issues. Nate was not present to oversee the work, and the initial path they installed was completely unacceptable—unlike any professional flagstone path I’ve seen. When we raised concerns, Nate deflected blame and claimed the outcome was what we had requested. Even worse, the path blocked access to both gates leading to our backyard, and their first proposed solution was to cut into our gates instead of correcting their own mistake. Eventually, Nate agreed to demolish and redo the path. During demolition, they broke several of our irrigation pipes—again, with no project manager present. Later, we discovered they hadn’t repaired the irrigation in the back, which led to flooding. After we insisted it be fixed, they turned around and immediately pressured us for the final payment—despite the fact that we were still not satisfied with the result. I sent detailed complaints and photo evidence to their QA manager, Debbie. While she expressed sympathy, no meaningful action was taken. It wasn’t until I posted a public Yelp review outlining our experience that she finally called. But it quickly became clear that the only reason they reached out was to protect their image. Debbie claimed she was “shocked” that Nate’s manager, Benjamin, had requested the final 10%, and told us that internally it had already been decided we should keep that amount due to the poor experience. She said the refund would be issued the following Monday. But then she asked if I would remove my Yelp review. I told her I wouldn’t, but I would update it. That was over three weeks ago, and we haven’t heard from her since. It’s obvious they were never planning to follow through—just trying to pay us off to get the review taken down. Since then, I’ve called Debbie multiple times and even left a voicemail—this time about a crack that has developed in the path, which should be covered under their one-year warranty. Still no response. The lack of follow-up or accountability is staggering. All in all, this was one of the worst customer experiences we’ve ever had. Palm Construction is a company that cuts corners, avoids responsibility, and only acts when their reputation is on the line. Their conduct was unprofessional and, frankly, deceitful. I strongly urge anyone considering them to go elsewhere. Don’t make the mistake we did—you’ll end up paying for it in time, money, and stress.
I recently hired Palm Construction to replace the upstairs flooring and stairs, as well as convert my sliding glass door into a single door leading to the backyard I was so impressed with the quality of their work, attention to detail, and professionalism that I brought them back to remodel my kitchen, install new downstairs flooring, and build a beautiful Trex deck with a paver stone patio. Every phase of the project exceeded my expectations. The results are stunning—my home feels completely transformed. It truly looks like a brand-new house. I highly recommend Palm Construction for anyone looking for quality craftsmanship and a reliable, professional team. John Cohen was very helpful and some great ideas. Easy to work with.
