Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa, Langkawi

We recently enjoyed a staycation at Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas, just a comfortable two-hour drive away, and it turned out to be a truly relaxing getaway. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the excellent service and the variety of dining options available. We initially booked a garden deluxe room but later realised that a higher floor suited us better, so we opted for an upgrade—which was well worth it. The villa was incredibly comfortable, especially the bed, and we slept so well that we ended up missing breakfast on most days (definitely a mistake!). We finally made it to breakfast on our last day before departure, and it was absolutely worth it—an amazing spread with plenty of choices. Everything about Anantara Desaru is beautifully done, from the surroundings to the thoughtful details, and the staff were consistently warm, attentive, and ready to help. A special mention goes to Mr Dani, our concierge, who took great care of our trip arrangements and even drove us to the night market, which we thoroughly enjoyed. While you’re there, don’t miss a visit to Desaru Fruit Farm, just a 20-minute drive from the resort—it’s a lovely experience. We’re so glad Anantara Desaru is not too far from home, and we’re already planning our next visit. Thank you to all the wonderful staff who made our stay so memorable.

Very chill and relaxing experience. Friendly staffs. I went there with my boyfriend, get to have the whole private beach to ourselves due to the fact that we avoided the peak season. The room is big and clean, many options for the breakfast buffet. There is a small corner for kids only, which is cute 🥰

Anantara was such an amazing experience. The Residence was stunning, having your own butler was very special. Our butler Anis was amazing, had a full itinerary organised on our arrival but was also very flexible. Beautiful little gifts throughout our stay, fun cooking class and an amazing spa. All other staff were so friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this property it’s a beautiful getaway and only a 90 minute drive from Singapore. Thank you Anantara team for making our stay and our wedding anniversary celebration so special.
