Zoey Newton-KarbautzkiWas our first time in the pub for food.. Have drank in there a few times. Nice selection of beers on offer. It was a date night so thought we would eat there before moving on. My steak was lovely, sadly Hubby's mix grill didn't cut muster. He was offered a refund, but declined as we had both eaten the food. Hate not leaving a sparkling review, but sadly our experience on the food side wasn't great.

ElizabethHad not been to the pen and wig for a long time. We popped in for a drink and decided to get some food. My steak was delicious, asked for rare, and it was perfectly cooked, lovely, thick bit of steak. My partner enjoyed his jacket spud. All in all a very good experience will definitely be coming back!
kim parkerPopped in for a quick lunch not really expecting much. The pub was lovely and warm with a busy, friendly atmosphere and the lady who served us was really welcoming. The Cajun chicken 'burger' was a proper fillet, lovely and tender, perfectly seasoned, with some of nicest pub chips I have ever had. My friend had a medium rare steak which also looked perfectly cooked. Our meals were so fresh and tasty. Will be back next time we visit from Cardiff. Diolch!
