I became a patient of Dr. Katelynn Sheaffer in October 2023. If not for Dr. Sheaffer, I don't believe I would be here today. I am never rushed, she takes her time to address any questions and concerns and is always open to discussing treatment options. If looking for an excellent, caring PCP, I would recommend Dr. Sheaffer.

We came to this practice from East Penn Family Practice. We followed Dr. Sheaffer to the Duncannon location and we are so happy! The office staff is so much friendlier at Duncannon. Dr. Sheaffer is an absolutely outstanding doctor who TRULY cares about your family + children. We will follow her wherever she goes. She is so kind + down to earth, incredibly intelligent, and has wonderful bedside manor. We love her!

My daughter and I both see Dr. Shaeffer, and we love her! She is so kind, understanding, and not pushy at all! She also recognized my daughter had tounge lip ties when she was born after the hospital had missed it, and we were able to get them released later that week. It made her such a happy baby, and took away all of the discomfort I had been having while nursing.

Worst visit at a doctor’s office I have ever had. Shockingly bad. Their newly hired NP gave inaccurate medication contraindications (which I confirmed with another doctor, PA and pharmacy) and would not provide any care. With the NP also having such poor demeanor and after asking her repeatedly to stop speaking so unprofessionally we just left the visit and got great care somewhere else. Zero chance I would ever go back here or refer any family members. Penn State needs higher quality care with medical professionals who know what they are doing and can provide ACCURATE diagnoses and medication. Penn State please make changes because patients could honestly be hurt by this kind of care and I’m sorry to say this NP.
