So let's begin with the room itself. Plenty of room, clean, may not be new but it is serviceable. Hot shower, comfortable bed. Decent TV. Quiet even when you are next to the highway. You are with in a walking distance to a 7 eleven. Safe area. Really close to several restaurants, convenience store, Walmart. Staff is great, friendly and always willing to answer questions. For the price I believe this place is much better than other properties that charge you $49 dollars more.

Long story short: filthy, brown recluse spiders, crime, and lies. Upon arrival, we noticed our rooms were very dirty. Old french fry by the bed, a handprint on the headboard, fingernail clippings, etc. My mattress had a stab hole in it and was sliced a length of several feet. When we came back that night, one of our rooms had brown recluse spiders. Told front desk and requested another room. They said that they didn’t have any available. We asked for a refund so that we could go to another hotel and they said no. The front desk worker said he would be at our room momentarily to spray. It was about an hour before he came, and once he did spray, the room was filled with fumes. We felt unsafe and very uncomfortable and didn’t get much sleep. Police were there both days. When we checked out, my husband asked to speak to the manager, and was told that The manager would call him. A few days went by and nothing so my husband called them and was told that the manager was not there, but would call him back. This went on for weeks. My husband called about seven times and was told the same thing every time, that the manager was not there, but would call him back. Eventually, they admitted that the manager never comes in and offered no resolution to our problem. We tried to complain to Priceline since that is what we booked through. Priceline called the hotel to verify our complaints with them and the hotel lied and said that there had been no issues with our stay and that we had never complained so Priceline refused a refund.

Didn’t even get to see the room. We called earlier in the day to let the employees know we would be checking in late and were told that it was okay and we would still get our room. We showed up and were told they cancelled our reservation and admitted they didn’t call us to let us know they were cancelling. They refused to help us any further, including giving a refund, and told us to try another hotel if we wanted somewhere to sleep. Trash service and horrible staff to let this happen.

I would have rather slept in my car. This hotel is a prime example of how to run something into the ground. Most run down, unclean, unsafe place I’ve stayed at. I’m a simple man, not looking for anything extravagant but a clean bed and room, and maybe a lack of brown recluses living under the carpet. These are the basics that are just too hard for this hotel to figure out. The decline in quality seems to have caused this hotel to become a magnet for crime, so expect to see at least one cop car responding to an incident per night. Some of the staff including the manager are deceiving, they will push off responsibility as much as possible, or outright lie. An attitude of just getting theirs with no respect for anyone else is apparent. If you’re looking for an escape, you’ll certainly forget you’re in Kansas.
