⭐ 1 Star – Extremely Disappointed Very, very disappointed with the service provided by Andover Car Service. 1. Turbo replacement (Range Rover Discovery Sport) I took my vehicle in for a turbo issue. They replaced the turbo, which cost me £2,607.60, and kept my car for two weeks. After all that time and money, the problem was still not fixed. If they were unable to properly diagnose or repair the issue, they should have said so from the start. Instead, I was left without a car for two weeks and had to hire a rental vehicle at additional expense. 2. AdBlue issue I also had an AdBlue problem which they kept the car for another two days and then told me they couldn’t fix it. This was after I had already spent nearly £3,000 with them. I eventually took the vehicle to a Range Rover specialist garage, who had to redo work that Andover Car Service had carried out. 3. Wheel bearing repair (latest visit) Today, I booked my Discovery in for a wheel bearing replacement. I was told it would cost under £400. At around 5pm, I called to check progress and was told they couldn’t complete the job and needed to order additional parts (hub and bolts). I told them to stop work as I would collect the car. Despite no repair being completed, I was charged £108. After being a customer for two years, this is extremely disappointing treatment. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise Range Rover, BMW, and Audi owners to think carefully before using this garage. I feel I have paid significant amounts of money without receiving the expected standard of service.
The staff at Andover Car Services - Roger, Clare, Charlie, Becky and Graham - not only offer excellent diagnostic and technical ability, but also excellent customer service. When I leave my car for work to be carried out, they always take me back home and either pick me up when the work is completed or deliver the car back to me. They are so friendly and welcoming and always offer a hot drink if I’m waiting. All in all, I would recommend them to anyone.
Very disappointed with the service I received today. The communication was poor. I was told I needed a new arm to past the MOT even though I replaced both 3 months ago. I felt I had no choice but to replace it to pass the MOT. When I dropped my car off in the morning I ask them to repair/look at 3 things and none was done. I received a text with the cost, however no breakdown of the cost until after I requested this via email. I noticed there were no mention of any of the faults I asked them to look at. So I called to check if these were included (one was to change a bulb) and was told no. I asked if they will be looking at what I asked and the receptionist said she will get back to me in a while. The next thing I received was a text that my car is ready. When I picked up my car and asked again the receptionist told me "we didn't have time. You will have to rebook". You had plenty of opportunity (when I dropped the car off and when I called later in the day) to tell that you could not fit this in and given me the opportunity to decide whether I wanted to just do the MOT repairs only as my preference would be to get it done on the same day. Over £500 later and no repair on the things I asked you to look at or no report on this. Edited- It was originally booked for MOT however when I asked to look at the other jobs at no point thoughtout the day did you tell me you couldn't. One of that was to change a bulb. So you're claiming it was looked a free of charge. What exactly did they look at? If it was looked why was I not told whether anything else needed repair or was it ok, or given a quote? The only time you mentioned rebooking was in the evening when I collected my car and ask for the third time if the mechanic had a look and were there any issues. I will not be giving you a call tomorrow now that you are pretending to be helpful on a public forum. I asked you to look at my car on 3 things in the morning, I called in the afternoon to check, I ask when I collected the car and you had plenty of opportunity to communicate with me and treat me like a human but you didnt. Instead I had a receptionist looking up from her screen for 2 second say "we didn't have time"
