Just over a year ago my furry best friend experienced the worst. She tore her knee ligament completely (TPLO). I took her here to my vet. First time for me with an injury like this so I was overwhelmed and afraid. My dog it happened to has extreme energy and high anxiety. She would chase a ball across a field like a superstar before this injury. Doctor Sarah did thorough xrays and we discussed my options of operation in Prince George verses down south. I am very happy I chose Doctor Sarah to perform this invasive surgery. She was very attentive to my dogs needs every step of the way through this. She helped me manage her anxiety while being crated after surgery. I had trouble with my dog trying to be to active after surgery and Doctor Sarah slotted me in on short notice for a extra check up. Doctor Sarah is absolutely phenomenal at what she does. She comes highly educated with all the compassion and love a dogs needs to get through such a surgery. I am so proud to brag that my now 4 year old pup, one year after surgery hiked Teapot Mountain like it wasn't even a challenge. While I was huffing and puffing my pup wanted to know what mountain was next after lol! The terrain is quite hard on this hike with tons rocks, slippery steep sliding clay and many roots and obstacles to walk through and around. I was slightly concerned what the next day would be for her, but nope she woke up ready to go again. No sign of inflammation or pain from the extreme hike. I am very thankful to have Doctor Sarah in Prince George as I believe she is the only Doctor in town that performs the Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO). Thank you Doctor Sarah for giving Obsidian the chance to live a full life again! There are not enough words to express my gratitude!! Photos for reference on the terrain, and proud puppy view shots at the top!! Thank you PG Vet!

The vets, vet techs and nurses at PGVH are amazing. They love and care for our dogs so much. My big guy had TPLO surgery done by Dr. Sara. Her love and attention to making sure he had the best care possible was evident. I also had to bring my old girl in for an emergency visit and the care given to her was astounding. We love the PG veterinary hospital and can't imagine bringing our pups anywhere else.

We have been very happy clients of this clinic for years. They have cared for our animals from first shots and exams all the way until our final goodbyes. They have even sent us flowers and cards after losing our pets and really go above and beyond in so many ways. I really can't express how appreciative we have been with the quality of care and attention the entire staff has shown us and our animals. In emergency situations, they are more than accommodating too. They work very hard, putting in long hours and have to manage some of the most mentally and emotionally difficult situations that I really empathize with but no matter what situation they are coming from, they always provide great care. They have been very reasonable with cost considering the overhead they have. We are very lucky to be their clients and I would recommend them to everyone!

A Total Betrayal – Avoid This Place I’ve had enough of this place. I brought my golden retriever here years ago for a quality-of-life check. They told me she had cancer and was too far gone, which led to the heartbreaking decision to put her down. At that time, they were decent and compassionate, so I thought I could trust them. Fast forward to now, I bring my dog in after not visiting for a while, and they refuse service because my account is “inactive.” Let me make it clear: I’ve been a client here for YEARS, and they turned me away without even a second thought. Not a single attempt to help, no compassion whatsoever. It’s one thing to have an inactive account, but to refuse care—especially after all the years of business I’ve given them—shows their true colors. They don’t care about animals; they care about money. It’s a slap in the face to loyal clients who have trusted them with the well-being of their pets. This place has no integrity, no heart, and certainly no customer service. Don’t let them fool you with their “compassionate care” claims. If you love your pet, find a clinic that values you as a client and doesn’t treat you like garbage.
