We used ProSource for our flooring needs when redoing our condo floors in June 2024. Cyndi was helpful in the showroom and answered all of our questions. The showroom has lots of options and is easy to navigate. When the flooring arrived, it was the wrong color. Within a few days, the correct product arrived. It looks great and seems really durable. Weād recommend ProSource.
We used Prosource at the recommendation of a designer we hired to do a remodel of our townhome. Our flooring install was scheduled in August for early October. October 2nd, they began the work, and I immediately noticed that the flooring was wrong. It looked nothing like the flooring we had picked out which thankfully I had fully documented in pictures (see pictures of the sample and what they installed). We paused installation until we could resolve the issue. It took days of back and forth. The answer was either the sample was labelled wrong or the boxes of flooring were labelled wrong. They never did tell me which but they sent more flooring. Weeks later we get a whole new set of flooring which is once again, wrong. At this point they essentially told us we would need to switch to an entirely different floor (my assumption at that point was that the sample had in fact been incorrectly labeled) and they found a floor that would better match the original sample. It was, however, backordered. At this point I asked what my options were including if I could get my money back, choose a new brand, go with an entirely different company, etc and was told no. We had been required to pay fully in advance. They were āunableā to offer any refund or discount for the issues. We did not have any options. So, from October 2nd until January 8th, we lived on the floors as they left them (see pictures). Wrong flooring, exposed subflooring including nails, and old flooring in the rest of the house. Three (+) months (and all the holidays) in a torn-up house later we did finally get floors! That was almost the end of the story. A month after the floor install, I get a very suspicious e-mail asking me to āsign offā on the work so that āthe installer can get paidā. I thought that sounded off since I paid the installer and the extra day of labor for install that was wasted on the wrong flooring was supposed to be paid for by the manufacturer (coretec not prosource) months ago according to my e-mail exchanges with them. The document they asking me to sign essentially offered me a check in exchange for not writing any negative reviews, etc about them and releasing them from any liability for the project (I've blanked out my personal info and included it with this review). It seemed odd to me that they would ask me to literally sign a document saying they would write me a check for my troubles while saying they were giving me absolutely nothing for my troubles. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I e-mailed back for clarification. They did in fact want me to sign away my rights for recourse, my ability to talk about the experience or to hold the accountable for the work done, AND say that they compensated me for it on a document that stated it was legally binding for FREE. When I pushed back, they tried again to say it was so the installer could get paid. Well, the installer is someone they work with regularly and they absolutely should make right the wasting of his time since that mistake was theirs. However, I do not in any way see what that has to do with me signing away my rights and agreeing to keep quiet about my experience āin exchange for the paymentā. So as Iām sure you can guess by the fact that this review made it to google, I didnāt sign that paper and I was never given a dime for the troubles. I would not recommend using this company for your flooring needs. This was a 6-month long ordeal which I was charged every penny for and then asked to keep my mouth shut about and sign a document saying that I release them from all liability for the work they did so they would pay a subcontractor they recommended. In addition, they asked me to sign a document with an outright lie stating I was receiving a check as compensation, when in fact they were not giving me the money. Also, if I hadn't thought to clarify and had signed the document taking it as it read I would have signed it believing they were sending me the money but would not in fact have received that check they promise.
I had the pleasure of working with Cindy Allen once again when my flooring needed to be replaced after hurricane Milton. Cindy helped me find the exact match for my wooden floor so I didn't have to worry about blending in a different floor. She was polite, warm & most professional and did her best to expedite my order. I highly recommend ProSource and encourage you to work with Cindy. She has never let me down. Thank you Cindy for making this process efficient.
My husband and I were referred to this business for cabinet handles. We came in and there was a guy at the front who asked us to sign in and showed us where the handles were, he then told us to let me know if you find something and left us. We also asked if they had quarter round for new floors we have getting installed in a couple of weeks the answer was just āyesā, he didnāt even point us in the direction of where we could find those lol. We wouldnāt have thought much of it if there wasnāt someone else who came in behind us who had a salesman with her the entire time getting all of her questions answered. It was a very impersonal and off putting experience for us and we ended up just walking out. Weāre getting a lot done to our home and we were hoping this was going to be a good experience with them as we could have used them for future projects we have coming up. My husband is a Lieutenant with the fire department on his day off and we drove 40 minutes from riverview to check this place out. Very disappointing interactionš
