Customer experiences
We are saddened to announce the unexpected passing of our cherished Poppy girl, whose departure has left us with irreparable heartache. As a devoted companion, Poppy's remarkable qualities included but are not limited to her great love of people, her boundless playful energy, her love of toys, her capacity to appreciate the flowers, and her ability to unwind in the hammock or nuggle(nap) on command. Her passion for trips to camp was evident in her love of stick-collecting, swimming, and getting dirty, while car rides, walks, and ice cream treats were a constant source of delight. Poppy's refined tastes and desire for attention earned her the title of princess, and she reveled in being pampered. Her individuality was what made her so remarkable. Although her early years were tumultuous, marked by destructive behavior and frequent veterinary visits, she eventually blossomed into a model canine citizen. We will forever mourn the loss of you, Princess Poppy Petal of Whispering Hills. Your sisters are consumed by grief, ceaselessly searching for your presence, as am I. ❤️. The loss of our beautiful girl was an awful experience but Nathan and his family at Family Friends Pet Loss Services were exceptionally caring and considerate in our time of grief. He made the most unpleasant time bearable. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I arrived. My daughter made the appointment for me. She said Mom he was so kind and it’s a family owned company and it feels right. The parking area was private and I was met at my car and Poppy was removed with true care. I entered the office which was spotless. Nathan was so kind and certainly has a calming nature in such a delicate time. He helped make arrangements leaving all of the options up to me. I felt that the cost was extremely fair and the fact the Poppy would not be shipped out to another facility and would be available for pickup within two to three days was remarkable. True to his word, I received the call that she was ready. When I walked in I was greeted with hello how are you?, let me get Poppy. Thank you for helping our family grieve. Thank you for treating Poppy with dignity. I would highly recommend Family Friends Pet Loss Services.
I spoke several times on the phone with Nathan to plan for my mum to drop off our beloved Poppy for cremation as she wasn’t in the right headspace to. Nathan was very kind, answered the phone fast, and answered all my questions. He has a very soothing voice, which was needed in the moment. His calming demeanour helped so much. I just knew it was the right place to bring our girl. I’ll love you forever, Poptart.
Gabe and Nate were amazing throughout the entire process. They truly made one of the hardest goodbyes easier. They were so accommodating and compassionate, opening the office on the weekend to ensure my precious Kya was taken care of in a timely fashion and their turnaround time was quick. Their pricing was extremely reasonable and the overall package and care we received blew my mind. I would strongly recommend using them for your pet cremation needs.
Being the first time ever cremating a pet, I was so lost with where to go. I was told to go to Family Friends Pet Loss Services, and so we did. I honestly can say this was the best and most respectful place and humbling experience. Nathan was very empathetic, apologizing as soon as we walked in. He was so nice, and told us how everything would be done. He assured it was a private cremation which we were happy to know. Our beloved Daisy Mae went in on a Monday afternoon and she was home on Wednesday afternoon. We received a box urn, lock of fur, and the paw print of the ceramic and ink print. During the awaited days we decided we wanted a necklace as well. When we asked, he said for sure he could take the box apart and put the necklace together. When he put some ashes in, he even came out to show us they were in the necklace before closing it, validating any possible feelings. He was so very understanding, and when we apologized about adding the necklace, he assured us it was okay, and that others have felt this way too. You could see he understood the first time walking in can be intimidating and sometimes more things come along as days go by He showed us everything that was in the bag, fully explaining the box care in the future. 100% will go going again when the time comes.. although I dread the day. It was also very cheap in comparison to the vet as well. Thank you for making this moment a genuine one Nathan❤️
