R&A City Hotel is one of the relatively affordable hotels in the area. It is situated close to a mosque from which one can hear the call for prayers. It is also less than 5 minutes work from supermarkets, electronics shops and restaurants. The facility has a spacious parking area that can cater to up to 20 cars. The hotel also has a swimming pool, an indoor bar, gym, laundry services and restaurant. There is also a Spa and salon that's run by a third party. There are an array of rooms in two different buildings. One of the buildings is wheel chair accessible (ramp, elevator, sliding doors etc) and the other is not. The staff were always courteous and helpful. The facility has different rooms across a range of prices (at the time of review, the least expensive room was 45k naira). Each room is equipped with a Smart TV, water heater, and electric kettle. There are fire extinguishers at the lobby/corridors. Overall, it was a comfortable stay for me. There are a few things that could be improved upon including the non-functional clocks, and lack of assistance (at times) when parking.

Tired from my trip, I had to change rooms three times before I got a decent one that still had issues. 1. Front desk team/baggage porters were patient and very helpful. 2.Internet connectivity is terrible, it did not connect at all. 3. The air condition in my room did not work until I called for maintenance and thankfully it was fixed. 4. The washroom was not restocked with bath items and needs proper cleaning. 5. The intercom did not work for calling reception or restaurants, I had to contact front desk via my mobile for assistance. 6. The restaurant staff on duty(breakfast) today could do with some decorum. They were really noisy and not polite to each other while guest were present. 7. There was a kettle in the room but no tea supplies🥺(as a tea lover, I wasn’t very pleased). I hope after renovations, the services will be much improved. Overall, I would recommend the hotel.

Just so you know they take 3 months to give you a refund if you mistakenly sent money twice . Their staff also urge you to send money to their personal bank account instead of the hotel account . They also dont allow you to use heater in the cold morning

I had a pleasant stay here. I was lodged in the main building. Please note that there’s an annex just two streets away. And once the main building is fully booked, guests are directed to the annex. The rooms in the main building were recently renovated, so be rest assured of clean and modernized rooms. I’ll rate the food 7/10 and the service 6/10. I’m not sure why the pool wasn’t open 24/7 though. But at the time I went swimming, the water wasn’t exactly clean. I enjoyed my stay regardless.
