staff are rude and such a jobsworth. security threatened to not let me in the club before i even got in because the people behind me pushed in between my friends splitting us up. got pushed by security into the other side of the barrier when i was about to pay to get in and told me i couldn’t pay for my male friend because i’m a girl. bartenders pretend your payment hasn’t gone through to try and get you to pay double for a drink. overall all the staff have horrible attitudes and enjoy their power trip by verbally abusing the people in there.

As my first time at the club, really hoped to have a good time, however the bar service was slow, the drinks were expensive, the atmosphere was overcrowded, the bathroom smelt like someone had leaked into the sink. My advice is to go to era instead, or to just have a quiet night. Edit: I had the unfortunate calling to visit Lolas again tonight and when i left my previous review I have to say I truly thought it couldn’t get any worse. By god I was wrong. After purchasing my £7.50 ticket I was looking forward to a fun night out during freshers week and was instead met by a near unbelievable happening, that I could hardly believe, an event so shocking it makes a joke of the industry. I was rejected. Now of course clubs have the absolute right to reject patrons who are far too intoxicated and I honestly wouldn’t feel safe in the establishments if that wasn’t the case. But no, I was ,in fact, rejected because they had ‘oversold’ the tickets. Truthfully I shouldn’t have to explain how this would be an issue for someone who had pre-booked a night out. Simply put it seems as if this place only strives to bring the worst possibly experience that a human can be faced with. To evaluate, and put simply, all I can do is ask for improvement, or for reimbursement, because this is unacceptable.

Just got home from the Lola lo bar reading we arrived at 10 pm and was the only customers there till 11,30 then only a max or 20 people had two cocktails £24,00 there no Gaulish go go dances as advertised the 2 drag actors were amazingly friendly and made or night with there chat and random dancing but not really a drag act the night was a complete flop and the owner must of lost money on the night 30/10/2024 10 pm till 2 pm but ended at 1 pm we think it was a waste of £6 pounds entry fee plus £1 admin all staff were friendly and the door staff music was good not much spooky music that we came for seemed we were the only people over 18 years old really not as advertised and finished at 1 am was.meant to be 2 am one of the bar staff kept trying to take our glasses even though they clearly had drink let in them he kept coming round ever 10 min i guess trying to get us to buy more expensive drinks but we had ran out of money by then we did injoy our selfs only cause the drag queens bit of a let down for my wife's birthday

As sent to their internal messaging: To whom it may concern, I was wrongly ejected from your venue on Sunday 26th, where I had paid for a private event with Drums R Us. A female bouncer asked me to follow her when she walked past me while I was walking towards the bathroom (not anywhere else near others, I was alone), and I followed her to the entrance not quite understand what was going on. When we approached the doorway, she said to me "you've taken acid, I can see it in your eyes, you have to leave." I explained I didn't know what Acid did, and asked her if I could have been spiked as I was now concerned. She instead walked away and didn't give me any advice or time to speak. I spoke to the two male bouncers and they said I seemed fine but they had to listen to her as she was "the boss" and her word was final. I didn't challenge them, it wasn't their problem, I instead waited for her to return, and she still didn't provide me with much feedback. The host of the event spoke to the bouncer on my behalf after I had left, and they told him I wasn't allowed back in, regardless of my lack of poor behaviour. This put him in a difficult position, as he has a business to run, and he isn't able to handle a situation he wasn't a part of, but i was a customer to his event and he will now need to handle it separately due to a failure on the venues side. I would like some sort of action to be taken with some form of education for your member of staff, who moved a potentially vulnerable woman onto the street without support, which I fear has been done and will continue to be done to others. Women are notorious not safe from attempted spiking, and as a customer of your venue, there is an expectation of safety and consideration of patrons, and I was treated as if I was a trouble maker and not looked after, when I was extremely confused about then entire thing.
