Red Roof Inn & Suites Chestertown

Hello Travelers and Vacationers I just wanted to warn everyone before experiencing what I went through with this motel. I booked the reservation through booking. com when I arrived with my family we went to the front desk which they first ask for $100.00 incidental fee and $10.00 a night for parking. Then the eventure really starts I received the motel keys and went to the room. The first thing noticed is the outrageous smell and black mold found on everything. The shower features missing ceiling tiles and no head present. So as everyone would, I immediately contacted the lady at the front desk which show us another room which was worse then the first. I demanded a refund based the facts listed above the front desk clerk responded that the refund wouldn’t happen since I booked the reservation through booking.com. needed to contact them. As instructed contacted booking.com which sent over a email to the management team which immediately denied the claim. At this point, I reached out to the local police and reported the incident for the “report” I also contacted the local government officials, sent over pictures taken while on site. Please do yourself a favor and don’t stay here….

Rooms are nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. TV was in an odd place to watch from the bed. Shower was clean and easy to get in and out of. Vending machines, ice maker and coffee maker would make it better. 3:30 pm check in is a bit of a pain. Especially when check out is 11:00am. But 2 blocks to the beach is nice.

I got the queen room for just me and my man it’s very small but perfect for our stay the microwave plate doesn’t move , the sink leaks , and there is some ants but other than that it’s not bad for the price. The water pressure is good , staff is super nice I was reading reviews worried about the cleanliness and ant problems but our room is fine. Definitely recommend for the price. Would definitely get a king room or double bed for more than 2 people. You also do have to pay $10 to park we only paid for the first day but there is free parking on the street right next to the hotel so we can still see our car from the deck so I’m not upset about that but it is weird u have to pay when you’re paying for the room already. Also about a block or 2 from beach not far walk at all . There is restaurants all around and entertainment.
