Customer experiences
I’ve been training at Renzo Gracie Newark for a while now and it’s been nothing but a positive experience. The instructors are knowledgeable and patient, and the team is super welcoming whether you’re new or experienced. The gym has built a strong reputation in Newark, and you can really feel that community vibe when you walk in. If you’re in the area and looking to train, this is definitely the spot to check out.
Great place to train! Very friendly instructors & members as well as an awesome mat space. Very good technique & safe training partners. I found parking very easy.
I’ve been training at Renzo Gracie Newark and I can honestly say it’s been an amazing experience. The instruction is top-notch, with Professor Matheus Batista leading with knowledge, patience, and a true passion for jiu-jitsu. He not only teaches techniques in a clear and effective way but also creates an environment where everyone feels welcome and motivated to grow. The school has a very friendly and family-oriented atmosphere. My kids train here as well, and it has been incredible to see how comfortable and happy they are in class. The coaches are great with children, balancing discipline with fun, and making sure they learn and progress while enjoying themselves. Training partners are respectful and supportive, which makes every class a great learning opportunity. Whether you’re a beginner, an experienced grappler, or a parent looking for a positive environment for your kids, Renzo Gracie Newark is the perfect place. It truly feels like a family here, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to train jiu-jitsu.
Honestly one of the best gyms around. The owner Matheus is one of the coolest dudes, he’s always very welcoming and friendly to everyone that walks in. The room is a great, people are really cool. Really good training, Matheus is very knowledgeable with the technique he teaches. Definitely recommend stopping by to check out a class.
