The garage damaged my windscreen and failed to inform me. When I noticed the crack, I raised my concern with the team. The manager (tall, blonde) claimed the damage was the result of a pre-existing crack that had expanded. This was not true — I only had a small chip beforehand, which is still clearly visible on the glass. If their explanation were accurate, they would have told me when I collected my car. I have taken my vehicle to three other garages in Colchester, including Steels in Witham (a Ford-approved garage). Each of them confirmed that the explanation provided — that the part expanded due to cold weather — is not accurate. They advised that it most likely cracked when the vehicle was put through the oven during the repair process. To make matters worse, my insurance policy was coming to an end at the time, and the provider was no help at all. They couldn’t be bothered to chase the issue, especially since I wasn’t renewing with them. Another important lesson learned — choose your insurance provider carefully. The communication with the garage was extremely poor. I arranged a specific time to collect my vehicle, yet I was left waiting for almost three hours. I would not recommend this garage. My car went in for bodywork and I left with additional damage — a cracked windscreen. If there’s one thing this experience has taught me, it’s to always take photos or videos of your entire vehicle before handing it over to any garage, no matter the reason for the visit.

Came in on 30 minutes notice. Looked at my car straight away. Small damage and an easy job, finished quickly and gave it to me for free in exchange for a good review so here we are. Will definitely be coming back if ever I need anything else done on my car 👍
