We've stay at the Flamingo many times and it'd definitely going downhill. We arrived to check in and many things were off and the excuse of lack of housekeeping was worked. I get it, but that's not really our problem. We had an efficiency and it didn't have any plates, cups or flatware we had to ask for some and they lady had to go to the other building to get them, she was the only one working. Even then we were brought dirty dishes. After check in things were better, the room was relatively clean, definitely could be better. The housekeeping service got better later in the week. The TV SUCKS!!! It cuts out and freezes all the time. It wasn't just mine as we were with another couple in another room that had the same issue. They don't provide any comforters, just sheets, so pack a blanket. The location is great though, but I hope the new owners get back on track and quit cutting corners. Not sure if I will be back.

I was hesitant after reading some reviews but went ahead and stayed. I found no evidence of roaches or bugs despite a fly that found its way inside. We stayed in tower 2, the room had carpet which wasn’t soaking wet like some reviews mentioned. The a/c was great the beds were comfy the pillows amazing, I actually looked them up online cause I NEED them. Bring a blanket or ask for one there is just a sheet on the bed and it did get cold but again our room was set to 60. The shower didn’t get hot at first so I was worried but after about 1-2 minutes the water warmed up. Before the second shower I just brushed my teeth and it was all good. The bathroom is outdated compared to the rest of the room but still clean. One of our towels had a dark grey/black stain almost like makeup rubbed off on it. Doesn’t matter to me but some people care. We stayed Friday and Saturday night and didn’t hear any other guests didn’t seem loud or anything. Saturday night we did have to park on the street cause there was no parking spots though. Our room was the double bed ocean view tower 2

Don't look for a refund on your security deposit. Booked a stay with $200 security deposit for damages. Never got refunded. Hotel said to contact my bank. Bank told me to contact the hotel. Hotel said they now have a $100 deposit. We've been staying there every year 15+ now. New ownership this spring brought new troubles. Front desk staff was rude and put us off like we were vagrants. Clogged toilet at the first use. Went to the front desk and they told me there's a plunger in the bathroom of the pool for Tower 2. I don't know if y'all agree but cleaning out a clogged toilet on the first pass should be a red flag. This place was bought this spring as an investment to sell to a reputable hotel company. To the current owners the land must be worth more than the memories that were made by loving families on vacation in the past. Do not be a patron of Flamingo until the owners and management have ceased investment and employment. Holiday Inn...Buy this dump and make it respectable.

I was pleasantly surprised with this motel! I had seen many concerning reviews about this motel where people were mentioning mold, or it being very dirty. However, I did not see or smell mold at this hotel, and the rooms were clean. It was a pleasant stay. I enjoyed the view from the balcony. My family and I also enjoyed the indoor pool. One thing that I did notice from the reviews is the lack of blankets. There is a top sheet and a very thin blue…blanket? Sheet? Not sure what it is but definitely thin. I was pleasantly surprised to find 2 thicker blankets in the closet, but the rest of my family didn’t have them in the second room. I’m guessing a previous guest left them, since other people also mentioned in their reviews that they didn’t have blankets. It’s definitely not a deal breaker-just being your own blankets if you tend to be cold at night! Overall, this definitely isn’t fancy, so if that’s what you like I wouldn’t stay here. For my family who really just wants a clean place to stay with a kitchen (we stayed in the efficiency rooms) that is close to the beach, this was a great choice! I would definitely consider coming here again.
