While giving Rue her last camp trip ( her favorite thing ever) she took a turn for the worse. Came to a family members farm in Bend. Called Dr. Hays, she was able to come out within a few hours, being from out of state we were worried about finding help. She was quiet, respectful & compassionate. Exactly what we needed, as we knew what to expect. So grateful to find the right person to peacefully & gently help Rue end her cancer ordeal. 100% recommend.

Dr. Libby Hayes made a traumatic and painful experience easier for our family. She is not only an extraordinary veterinarian, she is also empathetic, kind, caring, and was very respectful of our loss, and our grief. My beloved dog, my best friend, soul mate, and fur baby, was able to go to the rainbow bridge in her own home, surrounded by her loving family. I feared the day we would lose her for so long. And although I am beyond heartbroken, I have the comfort of knowing her final moments were of love and peace, as opposed to trauma and fear. I couldn’t imagine our family enduring the experience any other way. RIP Luna. I love you forever and always. I look forward to the day we meet again as we cross that bridge and are together for eternity. I rescued you all those years ago, but in reality you rescued me. 🥰❤️🙏🏼

Dr. Libby Hays is providing what should be an essential veterinary service, with unmatched care for everyone involved. Our nearly 15 year old dog took a sudden downturn in health over the holiday and the only available course of treatment prescribed by our regular vet was not working. We scheduled Dr. Libby Hays to provide an in-home palliative care assessment and were amazed at how quickly she was able to come out to us. We felt extremely confident in the guidance we received, allowing us to see the reality of our dog’s quality of life and the outcomes of palliative care, making a difficult decision to euthanize a little less painful and scary. Our family was extremely grateful for the care, patience, and respect (for us and more importantly for our furry old lady) with which the consultation, euthanasia, and transfer of remains was administered. It felt less like a clinical process and more like the family driven process it should be, allowing love to be at center. I have had to say goodbye to several pets in my life, and until now I’ve only experience euthanasia in a veterinary clinic. This experience was worlds apart and our old girl was safe and comfortable in her own home without the stress of a car ride and vet visit. I believe that she wasn’t even aware anything was happening, except a cuddle. It was as ideal as a death can be and that is thanks in no small part to the compassion Dr.Libby Hays has for her clients and patients. If you are facing the end of your pet’s life we can’t recommend her highly enough.
