Customer experiences
We had a brilliant experience with Wren and our designer, Andrew. The whole process was very fun and engaging. We changed our mind a few times throughout the process, and Andrew was always accommodating, even offering his own suggestions which we took on board. It has been 5 months since installation and we are still as happy as day 1. Andrew also put forward Dylan Reid as our installers. The installation team were professional, efficient and quality throughout the whole installation period. I couldn't recommend Andrew enough.
We have recently completed the installation of our kitchen from Wren & we could not have been happier. The knowledge, professionalism & great listening skills from Reece Webb our designer made the whole process as stress free as could be. A pleasure to do business with him and the company. However since then, we have discovered that we were supplied with a mixer tap that should only be used in high pressure systems (@ a cost of £364) not gravity fed. We have had no help from the customer service saying this is our fault and we should have check the customer order. This has taken the shine of what should have been a very positive experience.
ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE: Repeated Failures, Misinformation, and Inaccurate Surveying Rating: 1/5 Stars Our experience with Wren for our bedroom project has been a protracted nightmare characterised by repeated misinformation and gross negligence. Do not trust their verbal assurances. 1. Broken Promises & Misleading Advice We were repeatedly assured by showroom staff (Fort Kinnaird, Edinburgh) that a pre-installation survey would take place to assess possible supplementary work. This assessment was crucial to us. Wren failed to deliver this promised visit despite our repeated attempts to schedule it. To make matters worse, when the first fitter cancelled last minute, Head Office later contradicted the showroom staff, stating such surveys are not company policy for bedrooms—meaning we were deliberately or carelessly misled from the start. 2. Inaccurate Measurements & Delays After the initial installation failed due to the unassessed wall, a second fitter started work only to find that the initial measurements taken were inaccurate. This required a new plan, ordering of additional parts, and further significant delays. We are left with an unusable, disassembled room and furniture blocking our home. 3. Communication Chaos Wren booked delivery dates twice without authorisation, despite knowing we were on holiday. Furthermore, our formal written complaints (dated October 20th and 24th) have received zero substantive, personal response for weeks. Promises of a Field Installation Manager contact were broken, highlighting an internal communication failure that perfectly mirrors the issues with our project. 4. Failure to Resolve & Unacceptable Demands Wren is now trying to force the completion of the installation before they will formally address the complaint or discuss compensation. Over the phone, we were verbally told that our finance agreement would not be activated until we formally signed off, but when asked to confirm this in writing, Wren has refused. We have also requested copies of their policy that dictates jobs must be completed before complaints are upheld, but they have not provided them. We are currently in a complete deadlock. RESOLUTION STILL OUTSTANDING. We advise anyone considering Wren to avoid them if you value your time, peace of mind, and accurate service.
I decided to go with my own trusted expert fitter after reading some bad reviews about Wren kitchen fitters. I cannot be happier with the final result. The team at Wren Fort Kinnaird was very helpful in the design process which included several revisions with big and small changes to the initial idea. The delivery process was smooth and when one of the doors was discovered to be slightly damaged, it was quickly replaced without any problem and free of charge. The overall experience was great and I would recommend Wren as the supplier of kitchen pieces and appliances (you can ask to price match appliances if you find the same model cheaper elsewhere).
