Senator Inn & Spa

This hotel is well located on the road between Acadia National Park and the wonderful town of Bar Harbor, just down the read (both very close in opposite directions) . There is a shuttle service around the town - and the park - that runs regularly and you can pick it up right across the street from this hotel (busy road so be careful crossing!!), so you don't have to worry about parking as it is limited everywhere - a real time saver if you utilize it. The room was spotlessly clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom is very small but adequate -- good hot water and nice towels. The little mini fridge is cold (not always the case). If you are lucky to get one,, most of the second floor rooms have nice views of the water across the road. There are no outdoor amenities, so this is a good place to sleep, but that's pretty much it. It definitely does have hints of the old hotel feeling, but it is updated where it matters, and considering the location, the price seems very reasonable.

Positive: Ask for a room with bed facing north so you can see the water from bed. Cleanliness, maintenance and friendliness is exceptional. Negative: The staff is extremely friendly, yet three times over two days, I noticed they don’t actually listen to your questions.Happily, they were accommodating when I requested a thinner pillow.

No one is perfect. No one gets a 10. The person that took care of us. Did an excellent job considering the circumstances we were under. Room was fine and everything was good. We’re not big on the breakfast situation but thank you for the tea. It was excellent. not too impressed with terms and conditions but I understand what I say is the truth and it is what it is. there should be something under the terms and conditions where I can make a response to express my opinion on what I read no one likes Lawyer talk!
