Servus Credit Union - Capilano

Miscalculated transferring funds from one account to the other for an automatic withdraws and was slightly short in the targeted account. Where other banks would accommodate and charge a fee, move the funds automatically to cover the overdraft, or call and contact you, servus charged a $50 fee to decline the payment. Hopefully they take some lessons from ConnectFirst in their merger (where I can from) and treat you like a person with some compassion.

We have been Servus' member and have had a business account for more than 20 years. Lately, our account was hacked, and there were 4 fraudulent e-transferal. A significant amount of money was still missing. About 2 weeks later, Servus has still not charged back the fund. This indicated that Servus has no capability to secure member's fund. We have stopped on-line banking. We also consider to close the account if situation does not improve. This disclose is for the purpose to alert other members and pressure the credit union to upgrade its security system at the new era.

Not sure why I needed to hear someone trying to figure out their zoom call while I was banking, but I guess that's what we do now. It's all about open spaces and sharing what's going on with everyone who's in ear shot.
