I went there this afternoon, and honestly, the experience was extremely disappointing. Even though people were standing and clearly waiting, the Asian-looking woman at reception didn’t even bother to make eye contact. She just kept her head down, acting like she was busy with something meaningless. After a long wait, when someone finally asked her a question, all she did was point to the teller and tell them to ask over there. Really? If that’s all she’s capable of doing, then why is she even sitting at reception in the first place? Absolutely useless and unprofessional.

“I’ve had the worst experience with Servus Credit Union. Over two years, my credit and debit cards have been blocked more than five times during regular transactions, such as paying for groceries, online purchases, or booking a hotel. The amounts were small, ranging from $10 to $200. The worst case happened when I was in another city trying to book a hotel room, and my credit card was blocked. In Canada, you can’t book a hotel without a credit card, and this caused significant inconvenience. The bank always explained these blockages as ‘fraud prevention.’ But when real fraud occurred, the bank failed to act. Scammers stole $4,700 from my account after my wife was tricked into entering her details on a phishing website that mimicked the CRA and Servus Credit Union. She realized the mistake within minutes and rushed to the Southgate Mall branch, asking the staff to block the account and trace the transaction. Their response? Complete inaction. Despite reporting the case to the police and filing multiple complaints with the bank over six months, we’ve received no support, no investigation updates, and no compensation. Servus Credit Union’s so-called ‘security measures’ are a joke. They block legitimate transactions but fail to protect customers during actual fraud. I wouldn’t recommend this bank to anyone. Their customer service and fraud prevention are utterly unreliable.”

This is my home branch, branch is a 5 and company overall a 4 Servus is fine as a credit union, and as of 2025 they are pretty much on-par with what you would expect for online banking. The fee structure for accounts is silly and they should really have a free account for people who do minimal banking. I give them credit for responding to feedback really well, and for actioning reasonable complaints. It took me quite a while but I had to keep hounding them to fix a few issues. They fixed an issue the day after I raised it, where account balance notifications and transaction alerts were being delayed 24 hours. They also have a profit sharing structure in place, but it's kinda difficult to understand. Overall I am happy I moved all my banking here.

This bank needs to close it doors. Terrible. First they take money out of my account without a phone call or anything. Putting g my account to negative for them to apply to my CC, but it's not processed on my CC so where did the money go . And then on top of that doing maintenance to e transfers so I can't borrow any money and stuck at a gas station with no fuel to get home. If I got a call at least I could have planned and taken care of it. This bank deserves 500 plus 1 star reviews. I had to use my other email to put another one as it's not the first time this bank has deserved it
