Dear Owner of Severna Garage Door Repair, I had a terrible experience with your business. First, the receipt I received through email from the technician is not from Severna Garage Door Repair. It is from Neptune Garage Door LLC with the address 4521 Helm Dr, Virginia Beach, VA 23452. I thought I was dealing with a local business, not an out-of-state business. Second, the technician, Mr. Daniel, is a crook and a highway robber. He arrived at our home and inspected the door; the garage door spring was torn and needed replacement. I asked him how much it would cost to get the job done. He said the labor is $225, and he could not tell me the spring cost, so he told me a price range of $150 to $380. He also said he would give me a 10% discount on the parts. He said he would give me a good deal and I should not worry. I told him to go ahead and do the work. After opening a couple of screws, he said that one of the drums did not look good and that if replacement is needed, he has to replace both. I asked him how much that would cost, and he said it would cost $145. I asked him to replace both, trusting his professional judgment. When he began installing the spring, he said it would cost me $380 because it is made in Canada and is a very good one. Since I had already agreed that he would do the job, I said OK. I had already checked on the Internet how much it should cost to repair and had an estimate of $150 to $350 for parts and labor. After the work was completed, I got a bill of $731.50. I had to pay because I had already agreed to get the job done and because of what had transpired. I have checked the price of the parts on Amazon; the spring is $30, and two drums are $26. Your business should repay me $400 to correct this injustice. I believe your technician is running his business under yours and scamming people with the assistance of the dispatcher, who seems to be his wife or a relative. I will never do any business with Severna Garage Door Repair.
