We travel during moonson season and spent a 6 day 5 nights 21 to 26 Dec 2025., here loved the atmosphere, love this resort. From the moment we stepped off the boat, we were treated like royalty. The level of service at Japamalan Resort is truly next-level; the staff seemed to anticipate our needs before we even voiced them. Our two villa offered breathtaking views of the rain forest. And we all love the villa plunge pools. What really made our trip was the incredible staff and the Manage, They were so friendly and made our kids feel right at home. A special shout-out for a Chirsmas Eva dinner by the Resort Team. The food throughout our stay was Michelin-quality. If you’re looking for a peaceful, ultra-luxurious getaway, this is it. We chose Japamala Tioman for our wedding anniversary and this boutique resort did not disappoint. Service was impeccable from the time we were picked up at the ferry terminal at Kampung Genting until the time we left. Kudos to the manger Kenny and his team for their hospitality in making our anniversary memorable. Food was in general above average (dessert was fantastic) and some dishes were a bit salty as we don’t consume too salty food in our diet. We gave feedback and to our surprise the staff took it seriously as our subsequent dishes served weren’t as salty. The rooms are clean and the sea view fantastic, allowing us to take in the magnificent sunset views every evening. Not much to do, as this resort is more for guest to disconnect. Hiking to Batu Permata and to Kampung Genting was doable. Canoeing and snorkelling by the resort was great.Overall we enjoyed our stay there. Thanks Japamala!

Boat charges for transfer are expensive , otherwise service was good, the staffs are very approachable, room was very clean. Room makeup was done twice. I like the cute note left everyday after the room makeup. We had a great time spending our time close to nature.

Dear Japamala & humble staff, Me and family had an amazing stay at your resort. The service by the staff is top notch. Loved the basket of refreshments for our island hopping trip, thank you for that. The cocktail hour with the view is breathtaking. Grilled seafood was very fresh. Thank you for everything during our stay, not to forget the welcome quote placed at our rooms.
