A decent pub with lots of options and variety including a separate menu for the vegan folks as well. I got the Caesar salad with the vegan chicken — which was delicious however, I did wish the vegan chicken was less crispy. We also got the beyond meat burger and it was equally delicious. The fries was slightly over cooked, not sure if that’s because they did at high heat. Service was good. Definitely a good restaurant option in the area with lots of indoor seating and large menu.
I recently had a good experience at Shepherd’s Pub in Elora. Our waiter was really nice and understanding about my dietary restrictions, and she checked on us frequently. There was a bit of a wait before we got our drinks about five to ten minutes after being seated but once she took our order, everything started to flow smoothly. We initially sat inside since the patio was full, but eventually, we moved out there, and it was absolutely beautiful. I ordered the crispy chicken wrap with no cheese, vegan mayo and a jerk chicken rub. While the wrap itself tasted good, I have to say I didn’t really taste the jerk seasoning at all it just tasted like regular crispy chicken. There was a bit of a hiccup with my order, as my wrap ended up having cheese on it despite my dietary restrictions. Our waiter noticed and quickly apologized, offering fries while they fixed my order, and gave us a free vegan brownie for dessert which was really thoughtful. Overall, the food tasted good, and my boyfriend enjoyed his shepherd’s pie. Despite the mix-up, the overall experience was positive, thanks to the friendly service and lovely atmosphere. If you want to get a seat in the patio I’d suggest getting a reservation.
We stopped by Shepard’s Pub for a relaxed lunch on our visit to Elora yesterday. The lovely patio was the perfect spot to grab some beer and cool off in the afternoon. Extremely friendly and attentive wait staff. What We Ordered: - Cobb Salad (for the table):*Fresh and generously portioned, with crispy bacon, corn, romaine lettuce and a tangy dressing—great starter to share. - Donair Wraps:Packed with well-seasoned meat, garlic sauce, and fresh veggies- packed with flavour - Lamb Meatballs: Tender, herby, and served with creamy sauce..definitely a highlight. - Shepherd’s Pie:Classic comfort food with a savory minced beef filling and buttery mashed potatoes. Hearty and delicious. - Drinks:Local beers on tap and a solid wine selection rounded out the A great spot in Elora for hearty pub fare with a few elevated twists.
