For years, they were our stop for a very large annual produce order. This year, my order was mysteriously 'lost'. Hundreds of dollars, placed it with the produce manager myself. When I called to collect it, I was told 'no one had ever heard of that order' and the very same person that took my info was the one telling me this. We will never be back. Growers Outlet on Glisan is 1000% better in every way- highly recommend.

This is a wonderful, small neighborhood grocery store. Never a bad idea to stop in for breakfast or lunch. They always have something fresh and ready to eat. The fruit selection is wonderful as well as nuts & grains. I typically receive fantastic service. This store will always hold a special place in my heart as they have helped me through hard times in a myriad of ways. Plus it always feels good to patronize this store versus the big box options nearby.

Wow. We just cut into our roast to find that the butcher had rolled about 1 pound of fat inside. Very disappointing and bad practice. You used to be such a great butcher shop. Now I feel like I can’t trust your cuts

Sheridan Fruit Company reminds me of a little grocery I used to go to in Louisville called Burger's Market (closed 2013). The product range is similar to Whole Foods or New Seasons, but it has a more local/traditional-feeling deli and meat counter than those chains, which can feel a little sterile and homogenous, like they were put together by a marketing team in a corporate office somewhere else. The pork belly roasts look incredible. I expected the porketta to have stuffing or a second meat and it's just seasoned, but the pork was very good and the leftovers made an excellent cold sandwich. They also say they get good marrow bones for gourmet cooking every week, though you have to call ahead or they'll turn them all into dog chews and sell them. (I guess a lot of dog owners know about this place.) The produce is excellent, they have cute pastries from Marsee Baking, and there are several gourmet products like you'd find at Providore that I look forward to trying out. If you live downtown, try walking over here instead of Whole Foods or Fred Meyer.
