Unfortunately I can’t recommend this website. I have purchased a used dress for 165€ and as long as there was an information stated that its a subject to duties and tax applied, I was completely shocked to see those ended up being over 60% of my purchase. I’ve never heard of such high import taxes and checked all the different regulations from all the different counties. To me it seems like there is something wrong with their process (maybe the dress was marked as new and the cost was based on 400€ retail price?). Overall ended up paying 270€ and even though the customer service tried to help me, I still paid way much more money than the initial amount I bought the dress for. EDIT: after reading my review, the luxury closet reached out and partially compensated for the costs incurred. I think the customer service was pretty good in my case and I’m overall happy with the solution, however I still want others to keep the potential costs in mind when ordering especially given how high these can be
I purchased a Gucci Horsebit Hobo Canvas Monogram bag from The Luxury Closet. This was my first time purchasing a second hand designer item. The Luxury Closet aims to authenticate every item they sell, however, upon receiving the bag I was naturally suspicious as mentioned before, I’d never purchased second hand luxury items before and felt a bit panicked I had spent a lot on a bag that may be inauthentic. The team were incredibly helpful, answering every question I had, escalating it to senior members of the team to help advise me best, and accepting my wish to have the bag authenticated externally. I was then able to update the team that having used two authentication services (for my own peace of mind) the bag was deemed authentic. I was very happy to update the team on this outcome and wish to share the following message: Thank you so much again for the teams assistance and support in wanting to get further evidence of the bags authenticity, I very much appreciate the professionalism shown by all members of staff I have communicated with. The Luxury Closet customer service team’s help in this matter has not gone unnoticed and I’m very glad that I was able to get the second opinion to put my mind at ease! I would confidently purchase from The Luxury Closet again!!
After many dealings with them, I can confidently say their service is consistently bad. The issues are not a one time occurrence, they happen every single time, The worst customer service ever, as they are dishonest. I contacted both an Indian and an Arab representative, and specifically the Arab representative lied and said I would be contacted within a few hours, but that never happened. Their delivery service is terrible, the date shown on the website at the time of purchase is fake, and the order is never delivered on time. When tracking the order, the delivery date keeps getting pushed further every day, and the item is only delivered after a long delay. When I placed the order on June 25, it was stated that the delivery would be made the next day, on June 26. However, after one day, when I tracked the order, an additional day was added, and it was updated to be delivered on June 27. Despite following up with the company on a daily basis, yet another day was added, and it now states that the order will be delivered on June 28. Accordingly, I will be taking action by filing a complaint with the Consumer Protection Department at the Ministry of Economy, as this is not the first time I have been treated with such disregard. THE WORST
