Shore Hotel

I booked a room for 5 nights for a conference. The conference group rate cost more than booking the room as a Hilton Honors member. It was the same room as my colleagues just cheaper. The room was nice. They have Crabtree & Evelyn products. I liked the lotion, so I used their lotion instead of my own. The 5th floor rooms face out to the lanai or the pool. I enjoyed it facing the lanai which could be a bonus if you want to let kids run around out there or sit in the sun. The downsides to this hotel are the food and the bed. A mediocre pizza was $40 or $17 for a slice. PF Changs was in walking distance. They have a lunch deal starting at $14.99 with an appetizer and an entree or just order a bowl of wonton soup for $10. The bed… all of the pillows flatten when you touch them. My friend had the same complaint about the pillows in his room. Also, there was no duvet cover. There was the duvet sandwiched between 2 sheets. I kept touching the duvet which probably rarely gets cleaned. It grossed me out. I let customer service know. They offered to send a duvet cover to my room or correct it when housekeeping came around the next day. It was 3am so I opted for housekeeping to correct the issue when my room was cleaned. They placed a blanket on top of my bed instead of correcting my issue with the duvet cover. I just gave up. Also, Hilton should add recycling bins in the rooms for water bottles and cans.

We stayed at the Hilton Anaheim while attending the Improvement of Healthcare Institute conference. Since we were already in the area, we decided to visit Disneyland before our stay. Prior to arrival, we were told there was a free shuttle from the hotel to Disneyland. We arrived at the hotel around 11:00 a.m. and fully understood that early check-in would not be possible due to the volume of guests. The staff kindly checked our bags for free, which we appreciated. However, we were surprised to learn upon arrival that there was no free shuttle available. Instead, we had to pay $6 for a shuttle, which took some time to figure out and wasn’t clearly explained. Unfortunately, it didn’t feel like much assistance was offered in navigating that situation, which was disappointing. That said, Julie at the bar truly stood out. She was incredibly sweet and kind when serving us after our conference in the evening. We had an issue with gnats in our drinks, and she immediately acknowledged it and took care of the situation professionally and kindly. At checkout, I was surprised to be charged $1 to have my bag stored for one hour. Thankfully, I had the dollar on me, but it was unexpected. Additionally, the computer systems were down at the time, so we were unable to receive a receipt—just something to note for awareness. Overall, despite a few inconveniences, the hotel is very beautiful, and I would definitely consider staying here again.

Stayed at Hilton Anaheim as I had a conference at Anaheim Convention Centre. Was supposed to have special rates for conference attendees but prices on Trip. Com and Priceline were cheaper compared to this 'special' rate. Room is clean but very minimalist. Wish they had provided bedroom slippers, toothbrush and cotton buds. Housekeeping staff is good and helpful! Update : hotel charged me for a $500 Usd deposit and no refund was made till now. There is no way to email them except to call them on a toll free line. We are not from the States and it is a hassle to contact them.
