If I could give this hospital 0 stars. I would. This place is the absolute worst. They do not care at all about the patient or the patient's needs. I have a procedure coming up Monday. The 29th of September that I have been trying to find out the time for the last week. Mind you, I scheduled this appointment back in April. I just received the phone call of the time and I was told 2 Pm. I am on medication where I'm not able to go that long without eating or drinking. Or I get dizzy and I feel sick. When I explain this to the supervisor she was very rude. She laughed at me at one point. They obviously think it's a joke, what Im telling them. Anyhow after her chuckle she said I can reschedule well rescheduling, is not an option. I have a business of my own and had to close for 2 days for this. If they did things the proper way then when I made my appointment 3 months ago if I had been told that my appointment would be at 2 PM, then yes, I would have rescheduled, but they don't give you any option to do that. Also, who's to say they're not going to make my appointment again for 2 PM I highly do not recommend going here. I'm dreading going here myself but have no other choice at this time since I need this procedure done. I hope this review will be seen by someone who could address the surgical supervisor (Mary I believe her name is)on how to treat patients. Because my concerns were not heard she did not listen nor care. She has NO empathy for others.

I'd rather make the trip to Carbondale than ever come here again. My mom was seen here back in April and died under the care of SIH and St Louis Mercy Hospital, who ignored all the clear signs of alcohol poisoning and withdrew care in her worst moments. Every time I've personally gone they've grossly misdiagnosed me or didn't help much with my illness/pain. This includes viral infection, bacterial infections, sprains, and mental health issues. On top of this, the nurses hardly ever tried to actually treat me. I was left alone for an entire 2 hours just to be sent home with Tylenol while having the worst stomach and back pain of my life. Go to Carbondale before ever coming here.

My 7 year old had her first dental procedure yesterday and I just have to say the staff, nurses, doctors, surgeon all of them, so friendly and kind made sure she felt so comfortable. I am so proud for my baby girl as I know it was her first surgery and scary but they made sure she was comfortable and took care of her! 🥰🥰 the Surgery went successful and she hasn’t complained once of any pain just her mouth feels weird which is normal but a huge shout out to the team and her Dentist for an amazing job!!!! Definitely one of the best experiences I’ve ever experienced in any hospital and would definitely go back again!

Visited the E.D. with my child. The nursing staff was very friendly and tried to help my scared toddler feel safe and comfortable. They introduced themselves and explained the equipment before it was used...you know, like they had experience with small children. The Dr. on call however, was not very friendly. He never bothered to introduce himself, he invited himself into my child personal space without so much as a hello. Then, seemed to talk down to me for bringing my child in because there was nothing he could do. Now, I have a nice bill for 10min of service and being insulted. Thank you to the nursing staff, please continue to be great.
