I was recently driving up to work in Broken Arrow from Dallas and all the way up my truck was running a little hot. The transmission was getting up to about 220°. I stopped and put water in it and let it set for about 30 minutes I then drove the rest of the way up with no problems. I work for the next few days and I noticed my truck Temperature gauge climbing quicker than it should. I took it to AutoZone. They plugged in see what was going on and couldn’t find nothing wrong. I googled and found Family Auto and took my truck there. I explained the situation to them that I need to drive back to Dallas the next day and I did not feel comfortable with the way my truck was acting . They were shorthanded but if I could leave it with them he would take a look at it. before I left it there with them and before my ride picked me up they had already pulled it into one of the service bays . He called me back in a couple hours later and said he ran a couple of test and could not find anything wrong. Now understand I am from out of state and had no idea what was wrong with my truck he could have told me anything and I would have believed him! we talked for a few minute and decided to go ahead and flush the radiator because I had added water to it. They had my truck ready at 9 am the next day! They charged me in a fair price. The Service was above and beyond. Oh I didn’t have any issues driving back to Dallas. All I really need to say is THANK YOU. It is always nice to meet good people in are travels

I called and got quoted $250 plus tax to get my O2 sensor replaced. Then 2-3 weeks later I called again and got my appointment scheduled to bring my car in. Once the work was done they informed me it was going to be $450 plus tax. I told them that was not what I was quoted 2-3 weeks ago over the phone. They said “I don’t remember that” and told me they could lower the diagnostic fee. They then told me the total would be $350 plus tax. I’m extremely disappointed as I have brought my car to get fixed here multiple times. It seems as though they have just ripped me off. The work had already been done so I had no choice but to pay the $350 even though I was first quoted $250. I can’t help but feel since I am a woman they took advantage of that fact and tried to charge me $200 more than what I was originally quoted over the phone. I will not be coming back here and I urge others to be weary of what they charge you. To have them or you document the quote they give over the phone before actually taking your car in because they will try to rip you off. I will be finding a more reputable place to bring my car in to get fixed in the future.

Without an appointment, I drove our Grand Caravan to the dealer's shop to get the front left turn signal working again. "Do you have an appointment?" I was asked. "We may need your van for 2 days." I was told. "No, thank you." I said and drove to Family Auto Repair. Within 20 minutes, the mechanic found the needed bulb, put it in place, and handed me keys. I thanked those involved and paid the pittance I was charged. I drove away, thanking God for Family Auto Repair again and remembering Mrs. Jim Dawson's referral there in 1988 after we moved to Broken Arrow.

I own a 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 truck which needed ABS Brake System Service after rolling 146,000 original miles on odometer. I read the reviews & decided to take it to Family Auto Repair for my 1st pass repair on 09/11/2025(2 mo. ago). Darien, Ron, & their team of mechanics plugged in the Diagnostic Code Computer, which told them I needed to replace the Center Support Bearing too, which is part of the drive shaft/u-joint system. They called me & let me know in ADVANCE Before doing the work so I could know & they would know how to proceed. That meant a lot to me since I have to budget for vehicle repairs. Their team did the Brake System Fluid Flush very thoroughly (master cylinder, lines, removed all air from system, new brake fluid, & Remove Old / Install New Rear Brake Shoes.) They Road Tested the truck for any issues. (None) I returned for the 2nd pass repair on 11/03/2025(2 wks. ago) to have the Center Support Bearing replaced (Badly Needed) but was still functioning. When the Diagnostic Code Computer was plugged in again, this time it was giving Inconsistent Codes (False) to also replace the Rear Speed Sensor & Front Wheel Bearing (Driver Side). Darien drove the truck & determined those parts were okay. (If it's Not Broke, Don't Fix it) Mechanics Intuition. He told me what to LISTEN for & WATCH for on my Onboard Driver Info Message Center Computer from the dashboard. Since both of these repairs, I can tell the Rear Brakes work much Better in concert with the front brakes. The drive train seems much Smoother with the New Center Support Bearing also. Family Auto Repair is Honest, Courteous, Truthful, Knowledgeable, Has Character Integrity, & Very Family Friendly. Darien's wife is very friendly & greets you with a smile as you walk in the door to the desk. The Rate Cost of Repairs are very Reasonable/Competitive, depending on scope of work performed. (Quality First & Foremost) I will return for my next required service to Family Auto Repair. If I could leave a 10 Star Review, I would.
