I joined as a student in 1993 and have retained a membership for the 22 years I’ve lived near here. This has consistently been one of the nicest facilities in Metroeast Illinois and provides a fantastic value for students, staff, and alumni. Workout machines, are top notch, professional, and regularly updated. Six courts provide options from basketball to badminton to indoor hockey. A recently added weight room vastly improved the offerings. The local swimmers see the Olympic distance pool as a fantastic secret. I’ve personally logged over 1,000 miles on the 1/8 mile indoor running track. And most classes are free for drop in with a membership. Oh yeah, the rock wall is pretty popular as well.

The SIUE fitness center is an extensive facility with many offerings. My mom has been teaching yoga here and I've been attending her classes. The room we are in has a shock absorbing floor and I love the way it feels. There is also a neat rock climbing room; however, I've yet to try it.
