On a mission on behalf of my 90 year old mother, who wanted some very specific wool to knit a shawl for her first great-grandchild, using a pattern book that was about 70 years old. The owner and her colleague were really helpful and, not least, very patient whilst I called my mother to check that what was offered was exactly what she wanted. Great service. Thank you.

Spectacular shop with a wonderful selection of local, hand and naturally dyed yarns. Cheerful help with loads of information about the yarn, patterns, knit groups and other craft stores around. Truly a wonderful experience and hope I get to make it back soon!

Great selection of yarn and brands which is what attracted me to this store however very sadly I happened to come just before their restock for winter. Nevertheless I found some amazing yarn from Peru and bought some though was prepared to buy loads more had the sales person been friendlier. Every time I asked her a question, she seemed annoyed and stayed on her laptop the entire time I was in the store. I’m always keen on supporting local small business and as mentioned her brands are great, it’s just her attitude that made me feel unwelcome.

This is one of my favourite yarn shops. The owner and staff are wonderfully friendly and experts in sustainable yarn. The store is welcoming and the knit nights (virtual and in person) are great community building events. Since moving to the city they have been a regular in my life.
