After speaking to him I cancelled all other valuations and following his advice I had a buyer within a week. So far so good, outstanding work from Louis and all the staff at Smith and friends who have been extremely helpful and supportive and taken a lot of the stress and anxiety off my shoulders. Had dealt with the Darlington branch of Robinsons in 2021 and had excellent service. Contacted them again as Smith & Friends as we needed to find new tenants and again, their service was excellent. Very professional, easy to deal with and always answered any question or queries. Our new tenants also spoke very highly of them from their point of view.

Recently sold my property through smiths and friends and initially very impressed. The lady that valued it was very professional and helpful and the man who took the photos and video did an excellent job. The after sales however was a different story. Hardly any contact after it was sold ..no updates, I was getting more info from my buyers and my solicitors. On the day of the sale my buyers solicitors had forgotten to send their money resulting in a huge delay. I was 20 Mins late dropping My keys off and I had a very shirty joy (aptly named) ring me to ask where I was as my buyers were waiting !! Er not my fault !! Walked into the office to drop the keys / hostile environment .. no asking how it’s gone etc. then went to pick my keys up from Northgate for my house - totally different experience - greeted with a smile, invited to sit down, asked how it went, given a welcome to your new home goodies box … it’s the little things that count. Considering I spent just short of £2.5k with smith and friends I felt that they took my money and ran and for that reason I won’t be recommending.
