We booked here for a two night stay. Drove 4.5 hours out of town to check in only to get a room with roaches and holes in the wall behind the toilet. The attendant the night of said the manager would be in at 9am in the morning, went in after 9am this morning and the new attendant said he can come in anywhere from 9-11am. As we were heading to our car, the manager walks in, and I immediately get a call stating we will get a full refund. I asked if I could get a receipt and she said she’d email me one yet didn’t have my email. We walk in for the receipt and the so called manager immediately dodges and disappears through a door. The attendant lied about him being the manager. She then said she was not allowed to call the manager (her boss), what sense does that make? An employee not allowed to call her boss? Yet he’s literally in the building. Anyways, it then took her 30 minutes to print me a receipt and the receipt seems fake. It appeared someone was walking her through what to do over the phone as she asked us to sit down..yet nobody else was behind us waiting to be helped. As we’re leaving, another guest had a complaint about not having any lights. We asked if he was having problems too and that’s when the attendant starts yelling stating we’re causing a scene and asked us to leave. I’m not sure how asking a question to someone else is causing a scene but I digress. Driving away I get a notification that my booking was modified and they still charged me for a night. I Will be calling corporate. I’m exhausted, and I’m out $300. Worse experience of my life.

Booked a suite August 21-24, 2025 during a family reunion visit.. Suite was clean, spacious , bed comfortable, and all electronic connections convenient and in working order. Breakfast was standard but coffee was exceptionally GOOD, Also the hotel's location was excellent . However, would strongly suggest that for better security, the side doors to the property not be kept unlocked. Although a sign was displayed that key was needed for entrance, it did not work and doors were open each time we entered and exited. This will be our hotel of choice when visiting this area. N.C. Worst hotel and staff. I checked into the hotel recently, and was supposed to stay for 2 nights. We left after 30 minutes due to the disgusting room. Very unpleasant smell after immediately walking into the hotel, and then very disgusting smell in the room. Smelled like they were attempting to mask the cigarette smell in a non-smoking room. The floor was dirty in the room and bathroom. The tub had looked as if it had not been wiped down or cleaned for some time, and the toilet was very dirty with dark streaks. I checked out within 30 minutes, after I booked another hotel, and requested a refund. I have only been received a refund for one night. I have called daily to speak with the manager, and have been consistently told that the manager is not in, nor has the manager returned my call. Staff are dismissive when I do call, and alleges the manager only comes in for 15 minutes here and there. Not too sure what type of management that is. I am still in need of my refund. I should had known the experience was going to terrible, when we pulled in and the property had tall grass due to poor up keeping. If i could give a 0 on this hotel, that is what it needs to be rated.
