Very positive experience at Halfords garage. I came in with a tyre puncture that unfortunately couldn’t be repaired, and they didn’t have the right spare tyre in stock at the branch. Mo at reception went above and beyond — he arranged for one of his colleagues to drive to another Halfords branch to collect the exact tyre I needed. I was due to travel early the following morning, so this help made a huge difference. The whole team was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. Excellent customer service — highly recommended.

I arrived for my appointment, the staff were courteous, service started on time, finished within the estimated time, thorough explanation on what’s being done and why. I took my car here for a MOT and was told it failed on emissions, but no clear or specific fault could be explained to me despite asking. When I collected my car from Halfords, I was told they couldn’t carry out the work and was advised to use a completely different, non-Halfords garage. Given that no clear problem had been identified, this was confusing and concerning. I then took the car to another MOT centre nearby for a second opinion. It passed, and I specifically asked about the emissions— I was told they were well within limits and there were no issues. As a woman attending on my own, the lack of transparency left me feeling uncomfortable and questioning the advice I was given. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion if you’re given an unclear failure here.
