StellerVista Credit Union - Slocan Park

StellerVista has gone downhill fast since the merger. They denied me a loan, disregarding years of loyalty, higher income, and property value, all based on my 2020 tax return. The pandemic's impact on my business meant nothing to them. The personalized service is gone. You used to be able to call your branch and speak to a staff person who knew you. Now, you get a clueless call center after long hold times. Fees have skyrocketed, but service quality has plummeted. I’m switching credit unions, just like many of the staff who have either quit or moved on. What a shame. Heritage Credit Union was amazing and gave me incredible service and loans for many years.

As both the Heritage Credit Union and now the newly formed Steller Vista Credit Union, I have had nothing but good service from them both on the phone and in person. Since I live and work in a small community I love to support the institutions that support the community and Steller Vista fits the bill. They have been getting a bad wrap lately because of the merger and having to reinvent themselves. These are growing pains in my opinion and aren't something I feel will set them back long term. If they are in it for the long haul then so am I.
