One of the best classic Italian restaurants in New York State. Pasta is freshly made, amazing artichoke, great wine selection, they have this Chianti is so good, don’t remember the name. The seafood and special options are always good. The ribeye special when they have it, can’t miss. 20oz, rare , which comes out to be medium rare by the time gets on to the table is PERFECT, the grilled garlic combo, so amazing. Great vibe, tight but cozy. Energetic. Sitting outside in the winter is fine with the heater. Great place.

Tonight, I went to "Via Carota," located on Grove Street in New York City, which is acharming Italian trattoria that captures the essence of rustic Italian dining. Reservations are recommended to secure a spot. Also, Tuesdays are a great day to get a reservation.I had Pollo Alla Griglia grilled free-range chicken in salmoriglio. Out of this world.Risotto Meyer Lemon & parmigiano risotto. Fresh spinach ravioli withhomemade pesto. Very solid food at Via Carota. It’s not excellent and doesn’t reach that next level but it’s still very good. The vegetable dishes were by far the best part. The tagliatelle dish was 8.0, needed a meatier and richer ragu. The gnocchi was the only disappointment, the cheese to sauce ratio was wildly off, the gnocchi itself was very good - just spoilt by the lack of balance.

Incredible experience, five stars across the board! The atmosphere, the service, and the food was spot on. The ribeye was cooked to perfection, the cocktails were unique and delicious. Can’t wait to come back!
