We visited Sundara a couple months ago with a couple of my friends, and we all have been there before (last summer). Sadly, the place has gotten worse - not sure what it is, either they are under staffed or overcrowded? Or both? But it does not look like a premium resort, even though the prices are quite high - plastic cups by the pools, towel bins overflowing, no water in the tanks. it just doesn’t do the magic anymore… No one is genuinely relaxing, it feels like it’s too small of a place to handle high people count… The area around is gorgeous, though, and with all the fall colors it’s just magnificent! They now have specialty drinks for breakfast - AKA coffee! Delicious, and the patio of their restaurant is really one of a kind. But tbh, you don’t have to spend over $800 a night at Sundara and still can have similar experience (there are some smaller cozy hotels around like Caribbean club! We stopped by to check it out as well. And you can always go to Bella Goose to get awesome coffee too, a little modern coffee shop on downtown) we will probably wait a couple years and try out other places till we decide to come back to Sundara, just because overall its not as magical as we hoped (and quite frankly, feels like a capitalistic scam for the amount of money we spent)
Amazing!! We have been to Sundara many times and it keeps getting better! Our favorite Midwest vacation spot! 🤩 The staff is very friendly and attentive to every need from the minute you walk in. The facilities are very clean and offer a space catered to every need. We love the spa vibe and relaxing in our robes all day. The ice cold eucalyptus towels are a nice touch after the steam room and hot tub. The yoga classes are a highlight every time and Olga is the best instructor. She makes every skill level feel comfortable in class. We always enjoy complimentary fresh brewed tea, infused water and walnut cranberry granola after an afternoon in the Infinity pool. The swim up bar and excellent poolside service make it the perfect afternoon with friends or your lover. There are several hot tubs and pools, you are sure to find one to your liking. Our beds and linens were so comfy, we slept so soundly. I feel mentally and physically relaxed after spending a weekend there. I would highly recommend!!
We recently spent two nights and three days at Sundara to celebrate our anniversary. The resort is just beautiful. Everyone there was very professional, friendly and warm. We had a wonderful couples massage and a couples reflexology service. The resort has an outdoor hot tub and infinity pool on one side, and an indoor hot tub and indoor/outdoor pool with a swim up bar on the other. Both are amazing. The spa purifying ritual includes scrub, shower, hot tub, and cold plunge followed by time in the relaxation room. The resort has a no cell phone use in common areas policy, and it was surprisingly easy for me to leave my phone in the room and just relax. The restaurant had great food and drinks. We were really glad we went!
