Sunnyside Roof Rejuvenate

After the hurricane we had Donnie give us an estimate on our home. We lost everything. We were under the impression that Donnie and his crew would be able to do the entire scope of work for our home. His bid for the roof was $5,000 more than the next one we had but we trusted his workmanship so we went ahead and had them do it. Fast forward 2 months and it’s time to get gutters and soffit installed so we can begin to repair the inside of our home and we can’t. During install Donnie’s crew replaced about 10% of the rotted sub fascia that needed to be. In some places they actually attached new wood TO ROTTED wood that was falling apart. There are some parts of the shingles that aren’t even nailed to anything became the wood was so rotted it didn’t grab. I can’t get the gutters and soffit installed until it is repaired so I have gotten several estimates on the repair… one of which is nearly $10,000!! If this wood was replaced during roof install it would have cost me $7/linear foot (per his contract). Which would have only been a total of $700. I contacted Donnie about this and he claims that his “workmanship is warranted for 5 years” part of his contract doesn’t apply to this and only offered me an estimate to repair what his crew should have done to begin with… and his estimate was $4,000!! Such a scam. Blatantly ignoring rotting wood during install and then coming back with a bid to repair is completely disrespectful. I wouldn’t recommend Donnie and Red Beards roofing for ANY single job in your home. You can find much better work for less money with other contractors. The only reason I rated it 1 star is so I could post this review.

We had a leak in our roof in the middle of the night. And without hesitation Donnie came over to check it and repair it. Ended up needing a new roof and Donnie and his team did a great job. Was able to get a quick estimate and have the job completed within a few days. Highly recommend!

Red Beard's Roofing replaced our roof after we were dealing with a leak. The roof was older and there was some rotted wood. Donnie and his team replaced all of that rotted wood at a low cost and the roof is perfect. Red Beards is family owned and operated and you can tell by the way they take great pride in their work. Would Definitely recommend.
