Customer experiences
My friends decided I needed a gateway to the jungle, saw antelopes at night, beautiful indeginous birds, Ostriches and the sounds of birds at night. Very friendly receptionists warm đ and all. Their breakfast was delicious too, the rooms were clean and cozy the shower water was mmmh hoot. I loved the place and ambience.
This hotel has a lot of potential, but the service really needs significant improvement. We arrived on Monday, which unfortunately seemed to be a day when all the good service was off-duty.|There was no bartender available, which meant lost revenue for the hotel, and the bar was noticeably understockedâsurprising given that guests were expected. Restaurant service was slow and appeared untrained. To make matters worse, I was served an overcooked burger (I forgot to take a photo). To their credit, they did take it back and redo it.|The showers are also in need of a serious upgrade.|The only positive experiences were with the receptionist (whose name I unfortunately canât remember) and Dhilon, who was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Aside from them, I wouldnât recommend this hotel, as there are many other options at the same price point that offer much better quality and service.
The location was superb. Inside a conservancy. I liked the fact that one can see grazers such as antelopes and giraffe while driving to the hotel. I did like the level of cleanliness. The swimming pool wasn't as clean as one would expect. It is an okay place for budget travelers.
Our fourth visit and it gets worse every time. We definitely won't be returning! The room itself is ok and the bed comfortable and there it ends. The showers - pathetic. You have to waste so much water leaving it running for at least 5 minutes before it gets tepid and then it is like a drizzle and totally unsuitable for hair washing or even a good wash. We complained about this last time but nothing has improved. The thatched roof is bare in some places. Not a good thing with the rains coming. The swimming pool is disgusting and more like a dirty ditch than a pool. I certainly wouldn't go in it! Now to the food. We have been seeing all the fancy food they serve - allegedly - on their Facebook page. All good portions and beautifully presented. What a shame they don't serve that to their guests!! We had a buffet which was sparse and not hot. At breakfast there were no eggs offered so we asked for some and ordered fried eggs. These turned up as an omelette! We didn't get any cakes -- not even the Lamingtons which are on the menu. Most of the food was Indian based even at breakfast. We were there on a saturday night/sunday daytime and there were many local weekend visitors which it seems are their priority. |We had a game drive with our own driver and had to take a "ranger" with us. He was next to useless and didn't speak to us at all. |There is a very nice gift shop but nothing has any prices displayed. Do they make them up when you ask? |Such as shame as on our first visit the place was lovely. It is sad to see the obvious deterioration. The owners need to improve or they will lose many more customers.
