Visited Kai Japanese Dining with 8 colleagues for their Saturday dinner buffet (~RM220 per person). Unfortunately, the experience was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING. Their Instagram and Xiaohongshu promotions showed raw oysters, slipper lobster and a wide variety of seafood, which was one of the reasons we chose this place. However, when we arrived there were NO RAW OYSTERS at all, even though it was a Saturday night buffet. The seafood section was also very limited and many trays were not even half filled.The slipper lobster shown in the promotions looked reasonably sized, but the ones served were even smaller than my palm.The sashimi and sushi selection was also very limited. We ordered two soups — beef and chicken. The beef soup was EXTREMELY SALTY, while the chicken soup was OVERLY SWEET. We informed a staff member who appeared to be the manager. He took the soups away and said he would handle it, but there was NO FOLLOW-UP before we left. This was not just my personal opinion — several colleagues (around 3–4 people) also found many dishes noticeably too salty, including cooked items like crab and prawns. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, one of our colleagues experienced serious diarrhea after returning home, which raised concerns about food freshness. For comparison, we have also visited buffets such as THYME, Lemon Garden, Mitasu Cuisine, and Lagaya, all of which offered noticeably better variety and overall dining experience. For a buffet at this price point inside Sunway Resort Hotel, this was honestly one of the most disappointing buffet experiences we have had. I genuinely wonder if Sunway Resort Hotel management is aware that the food quality and buffet standards here are currently at this level.

Had a really pleasant stay at Sunway Resort Hotel. The hotel feels newly refreshed, with modern rooms that are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed and pillows were excellent — slept surprisingly well. Service was consistently warm and professional from check-in to check-out. Staff were friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to requests. Location is a huge plus: direct access to Sunway Pyramid, plenty of food options, and everything conveniently within walking distance. Facilities were well maintained, especially the pool and common areas. Breakfast spread had good variety and quality. Overall, a great mix of comfort, convenience, and value. Would definitely return and recommend for both staycations and visitors.

Had an amazing stay at Sunway Resort Hotel! 😄 Spacious rooms, top-notch cleanliness, and staff were super helpful. The breakfast buffet was a highlight - loads of options for all tastes. Couldn't visit the water park but wow, it looked epic from my room 👀! And the connected mall is a shopper's paradise - plus, easy Grab/LMR rides from there. Only thing was, could've done with a bit more quiet at times. Overall, would definitely come back! 🌟

Honestly, this hotel deserves more than five stars. Hospitality: Superb Food: Great, though there’s still room for improvement Location: Amazing Amenities: Excellent Truly one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at so far. The room I was given was spacious and very comfortable. Housekeeping was efficient and consistently on point, and both the reception staff and the manager were incredibly welcoming. Overall, a fantastic experience. Surely will come again !
