I reserved a personal shiatsu massage and dinner reservation here for myself. This was one of the main highlights of my entire trip. Meghan (I think thats how you spell her name) took very special care of me, since I had been struggling with elevation sickness my whole trip. While it may appear pricey, I think its worth every penny. I showed up with just enough time to enjoy a foot soak before the massage. Once you get there, you check in with the front desk, you get a mini tour of the area youll be in, and then they give you clothes and a kimono to change into. If you show up with enough extra time, you get to hang out and use the foot soak and couple of extra amenities on the property while you wait for your massage time. It was lovely, wish I had known about that sooner. Having my massage done and using the foot soak was the best I felt my entire trip. I wish I was able to try more than the cold noodle edemame salad (since I was queasy), though it was still delicious. All in all a very luxurious experience I would recommend to anyone looking to treat yourself. I will definitely be back!

This place is a sanctuary! It’s peaceful, calm, relaxing, BEAUTIFUL. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. I had a Shiatsu massage from Thomas and it was one of the best bodywork treatments I’ve ever received. I have an old back injury and he was strong enough to get to the spots that really hurt, but gentle and intuitive and knew when to pull back. I enjoyed access to the Grand Bath and several saunas after my treatment. There is an icy cold plunge for hot/cold therapy. I also highly recommend a private soaking tub.

Our family recently spent two nights at Ten Thousand Waves, and it was an unforgettable experience. The rooms were both spacious and comfortable, perfect even for a family stay. Nestled in a serene, forested setting, the property offers a truly peaceful atmosphere that invites relaxation the moment you arrive. The spa is impeccably maintained, with beautifully designed spaces that encourage quiet reflection and rest. I highly recommend booking a private bath to fully immerse yourself in the tranquil experience, it was a highlight of our stay. Don’t miss the chance to dine at the on-site restaurant, either. Every dish we tried was exceptional, and the ambiance perfectly complemented the entire property’s soothing vibe. We can’t wait to return!

We visited the spa, not the lodging. My shiatsu massage was great. The Grand Bath was delightful. I'm not usually a fan on the hot-cold experience, but this was invigorating. Staff excellent. The gift shop has delightful Japanese products, enough kawai for just about anyone.
