Andrew “Andy” DavisLovely little tea shop in the Shambles with inside and outside seating, good food and great cakes. We chose a walnut coffee sponge cake, which was moist and delicious. The pork bun was just like my nan used to make. Lovely fresh bun topped with apple sauce, a generous slice of roast pork and a good slice of stuffing. Service was friendly and ambience was nice. Value for money when compared to other tea houses in the town and well worth a visit.

Susan RobinsonLovely cafe, with delicious-looking cakes. But we went in for coffee and, I must say, it was about the worst coffee I've had! The coffee was pre-ground (at that price!) and open to the air; the person who was making it didn't tamp it down into the holder, and it was scalding hot - a sure-fire way to ruin coffee. With some basic training it's so easy to make good coffee if you have decent beans and a decent machine. Disappointing, as cafe and location perfect.
TaraLovely little cafe that was very busy when I visited recently. I really enjoyed my quiche and salad and the cakes on display looked tasty, though I didn't have one. My only concern was a dog cage that sat just outside the kitchen and was also close to the toilets, so a potential trip hazard as well as being unhygienic. I love dogs but that's not right, imo
