Lovely little tea shop in the Shambles with inside and outside seating, good food and great cakes. We chose a walnut coffee sponge cake, which was moist and delicious. The pork bun was just like my nan used to make. Lovely fresh bun topped with apple sauce, a generous slice of roast pork and a good slice of stuffing. Service was friendly and ambience was nice. Value for money when compared to other tea houses in the town and well worth a visit.
Lovely little cafe. We had pork bab & walnut cake and both were good. Coffees are good too. Reasonable pricing, comfy seating and clean place. They have a few seating outdoor too..
Lovely cafe, with delicious-looking cakes. But we went in for coffee and, I must say, it was about the worst coffee I've had! The coffee was pre-ground (at that price!) and open to the air; the person who was making it didn't tamp it down into the holder, and it was scalding hot - a sure-fire way to ruin coffee. With some basic training it's so easy to make good coffee if you have decent beans and a decent machine. Disappointing, as cafe and location perfect.
