Found this nice place by chance on the way to Southampton. We stopped here 09/01/2026. Nice quiet little village. Not given *s for rooms as didn't see. Place is lovely and big, plenty of seating inside and outside. The building itself is really nice. Staff friendly and welcoming. Food looked good what we saw. Good selection of drinks and reasonably priced for the area. It's situated in Crawley Hampshire. Would definitely go again and recommend

Wonderful nights stay and evening meal at The Fox for my Father’s 75th birthday.|The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The large king size bed was delightful as was the shower. The bedroom fans were a welcome addition especially on a hot weekend. |We ate in the restaurant and the food and service were both excellent. |Breakfast was plentiful and superb quality.|Thanks to all the staff for making our stay memorable. We hope to return.

I have eaten here twice, and the food is fabulous, but both times the service hasn't been great. First time they tried to serve our mains before we had even had our starters. We even chased the food as we had been waiting ages. The apologies were very sincere and the staff lovely. Yesterday we went for brunch. We were the only 5 people in the restaurant. It took over 30 mins to get our food and the time between the 4th and 5th meal arriving was significant enough that we apologised to my son and started eating. Clearly we don't want to sit down and be served food instantly but over 30 mins when there are no other customers wasn't the best. I'm not sure we will risk a 3rd time lucky.

The food was absolutely exceptional, service was even better, the young lady who served us went well above and beyond, catered to our every request answered every question, so polite and constantly topping up drinks and making sure we had everything, it was very old fashioned and had a great vibe inside, we will definitely be back, the only down side was the desserts menu was very poor, it was all very fancy dishes, something like a brownie/cake or cheese cake would definitely be required, put all 8 of us off a dessert, however the mains and starters were amazing! Even had candles on standby for my little boys birthday, staff 10/10 food 10/10
