Ayresy's ArmyVery cozy atmosphere in The Garden Kitchen. I had the special beef rib burger and it was too for for and should definitely become a permanent edition. The kids portions were very good too, and they thoroughly enjoyed them. Only negative I could call out would be that the was only one waitress on a pretty busy Sunday.
Lizzy VaughanI stopped coming here with family and friends due to a change in menu and chef. It had always been a favourite for a vegetarian breakfast, but they can now only cook a poached egg in vinegar!! Which is not a nice taste. I've been cooking poached eggs at home for years and never needed to use vinegar. Vinegar is no good for gluten intolerance. My friend and I thought we would give it a try after 6 months absence for just a cuppa and a cake. As we were looking and choosing from all the yummy brownies, custard slices, apple turnovers etc we were told by the lady behind the counter, that they were for "take out" only and not for eating in. She said we could only choose from the sponge cakes. When I asked why, she was quite abrupt and said that the place was more of a restaurant!!! The so called restaurant (know as a coffee shop) previously used to serve all the brownies etc. It makes no sense. The whole time we were there, not one person bought any take out brownies. What a waste. On the plus side, the waiting staff are very nice. Ps avoid the raspberry crumble flapjack as it was as hard as a brick.
