The George Hotel & Granary

I recently visited the George Hotel & Granary in Frome, and I was really impressed by the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were fantastic, especially Wayne, who went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. The food was excellent—well-cooked, generously portioned, and great value for money. The pub itself has a lovely, traditional feel, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. Overall, I had a brilliant time and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great pub in Frome!

The service we received was amazing! Friendly staff, friendly customers. Impeccable food. I would highly recommend coming to experience this Hotel. The rooms are spacious, very nice and tidy and a bonus is dogs are welcome! Our server was amazing! Brilliant communication. Amazing quick service!

We booked a table for Saturday 29th March having had a great day out at Stourhead. It felt like a good choice for an evening meal and having stayed at the George about 10 years ago, I have fond memories. Unfortunately the food was exceptionally poor. My husband had the pate to start, my daughter and I had the halloumi bites. To follow we had 2 x the house burger and my daughter the fish and chips. Nothing felt particularly fresh and everything had a purchased from the cash and carry for the lowest amount feel. My daughter and I left quite a lot of our meals. Went away very disappointed. It was a beige meal in a very noisy, drinking pub. Definitely didn't used to be like that.
