The Himalayan Institute

Every visit to the HI is incredible. The food is delicious, the rooms are very clean, and the beds are comfortable. There is an electric tea pot provided in your room and access to a 24/7 tea lounge. The staff is very welcoming and you will be sad when it is time to leave. You have access to hiking trails, a peaceful lake, a greenhouse room, daily yoga classes, shrine, and chocolate/coffee factory. I received a shirodhara treatment/massage with Stephanie, which was amazing. This is my go-to location for relaxation and rejuvenation.

Absolutely recommend this place! I recently attended a Building Resilience retreat, and it was incredibly refreshing. I gained valuable insights and practical steps to bring more calm into my daily routine. The campus has a lovely minimalist vibe—just what you need without any distractions. Clean, comfy rooms, delicious vegetarian meals, and all the essentials. I’ll definitely be back!

I have had the pleasure of attending several Wellness programs through the wellness center at the Himalayan Institute in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. Dr. Carrie is truly an outstanding doctor and a one of a kind wonderful person, as well. The staff at the Wellness Center are all extremely knowledgeable and professional. The food is absolutely delicious! We very much enjoyed meeting the staff in the kitchen, too! I look forward to our next visit there!
